Did it ever show up? I'd like that as well.

Never. Just checked it again with a trailer (dummy) load plugged in. Truck thinks there's a trailer plugged in, tried changing the trailer selection, etc. Big NOGO for me.

Just like the off road forward facing camera/guidelines, disappointing.

Not a huge deal, I run with lights on for several reason, not the least is it powers my TTPMS repeater off the running lights so my usual and customary practice of hitting the hazards and walking around as I also double check hardware works for me. All my stuff is new/well maintained and I rarely have light or other electric (brakes) issues.

Thanks for the feedback. I did the update and tried installing it this morning but after I didn't see it on my Android tablet I re-read Jimmy07s post and realized it must be the Windows version only. I considered purchasing the Windows version for that feature but after your experience I think I'll pass. I'll keep doing it the same as you do. The tough one though is the brake lights if you're solo. I just go on faith that if I don't get rear ended they must be working. :p

Felt ambitious today so I installed an LED strip light kit in the bed of my truck. I already had the factory bed lights installed, but they were right next to useless. I used the 2 strip version on my last truck and it was great so I figured if 2 were great 3 would be even better.

Simple install. I jumped the wires right off of the existing factory light. The kit I bought only needed 1 connection so it took all of 2 minutes to take apart the light and add a couple wire connectors.

Tested to make sure everything worked (made the mistake of not checking before install on other projects, it sucked).

From there I dropped the lines down a whole that I drilled. I treated the new hole with an anti-rust agent and added rubber grommets. Peel and stick the strips after wiping install area with alcohol then zip tie the line under the truck following the factory path as much as possible.

Since Ram was nice enough to pre-install dedicated bed light switch, it now controls the LED's just like it controls the factory lights, so I can control all the lights from the bed or the dash.

Simple and so worth it.

Hazard=brake in my book. If they flash on hazard, they'll work on the rest.

Last week I finished up the Outfitter Aux switch wiring. Also replaced the 3rd brake light with a lower profile one that will not interfere with the ARE shell ordered in February.
Yesterday and today I installed Gatorback Mud Flaps, Mopar Window Visors and the Bayou Goat Double Mount that screws into the Ram tray on the dash. I like the Gatorbacks and the Bayou Mount is very high quality, hand made in Louisiana. The window visors seem good, fronts much easier to install than rears.

How does the Bayou Goat mount inside the tray?

It uses the two OEM Torx 20 screws that are under the rubber mat. You need to cut two slits in the mat after attaching the mount to slip it back in. Looks original to me. Very nice workmanship. He made it just exactly as wide as possible and still be able to tighten down the screws with a Torx screwdriver. It could be wider on the drivers side but you would have to use a small ratchet with a torx bit on that screw. The passenger side can not be wider or it will block the 12 volt socket.

I like that mount! I also put gatorback mud flaps on and they have been great. Huge difference than when I had none. They protect the paint well and keep me from throwing rocks/mud on the cars behind me after pulling back onto pavement from mud as I do frequently throughout the work day.

Ordered my avs hood bug deflector/protector. Browsing for rear seat protector for my buddies.
If you're looking for a cheap durable seat cover, I picked one up from Cabela's for a bench seat to use on my rear seats. It was $30 bucks if I remember correctly. I bought mine to put under the kids car seats and for when I have tools back there. Of course it wasn't a great fit but it did the job for me, and the kids car seats helped hold it in place. Might not be a bad option for you depending on what you are looking for.

It looks like their site shows three that fit the 3500: BUGFLECTOR, BUGFLECTOR II, and HOODFLECTOR. Which one did you get and how does it attach with the big rubber gasket on the hood's front edge?

AVS aero skin like I had on the 2017. Utilizes 3m tape.

Oops, should have said just hood protector. I ordered the aero skin which uses 3m tape to hood. i didn’t do the aero skin 2 this time as I don’t think I would like the look of the deflector part bulging up. And against the grain here, I went with chrome as the front of my truck has a boatload and didn’t feel black would look right.

Looking at Husky mud flaps for my 2500 Bighorn. I just had w2w OEM running boards installed and the front of the boards are pretty close to the edge where the mud flap would mount. Anyone have experience with this setup and adding mud flaps?
