is there anyway toads color when screen is in night mode, using only gays and black makes it almost impossible to see

Mine will randomly disconnect my iPhone, and "sometimes" reconnect.

Sometimes the presets will include AM stations and sometimes not.

Also, I don't understand why the Waze map in only available in full screen mode, not 1/2 screen.

If you create a custom Home Screen, you make Waze be the half screen. In this instance, you simply select HOME on bottom left and swipe to the custom screen that has Waze. If you view via CARPLAY, it’s full screen or whatever you see
