plus as far as I have seen every bolt, nut and wrench I am using on my 2019 is metric....
Ironically back in the late 90's I was a licensed aircraft engineer, all my tools were standard and very expensive snap-on. I still have them, never used them 15 years..
I bought all new metric for everything

I worked at NASA LaRC for a number of years and although the metric system is technically the default system, US customary units are frequently used. And yes, there have been a few horrible mistakes which resulted from mixing these two systems.

Here's a little know fact - we have a bar on center named Afterburners.

Almost all aerospace is metric based. SAE conversions may be provided on drawings, but the "official" measurement is given in metric. Even plating thicknesses, every shop in the US works in microns and not 100ths of inch and a most platers are not at the forefront of progress.
