Free miles (or cashback) baby. I do miles as they're more valuable for me.
FWIW, I pay a hefty annual fee for my UA Club card to get access to UA's clubs as I travel a lot. Also, putting $30K down on my truck on it picked up a few miles (yes, it was paid before due).
Also, a CC generally has better fraud protections than using a bank debit card - primarily not having to wait to get your money back because it's never "taken."
Interesting reading the debate and it's a sensitive one at that... I utilize credit and financing all the time but use it wisely. Everything is accounted for and planned for. Took me a while to learn that in my early years hahaha
We as a country need to teach our kids about finances, credit, loans, equity, etc. It's sad cause I'm in the belief when utilized correctly, they're an excellent tool.
