2.5" shank on the hitch of your choice solves 99% of the rattle/slop. Are you using the factory adapter with a 2" shank? Finally got a chance to tow with the dually for the first time since getting it. I noticed a lot play between the trucks' receiver and the hitch shank. Is anyone using some type of quiet hitch or something to minimize the play?

Maybe a little more tongue weight if possible? That certainly isn't a heavy load for that truck lol. I don't get any rattle with the travel trailer connected using a 2.5" shank and a WDH on my 2500.no adapter. I'm already using a 2.5" shank
Pics?I drilled a 13/16 hole in the front side of the receiver tubing (closer to the spare tire) and welded a nut then thread a 3/4” bolt in and just snug it up it removes the slop and does not affect the load point on the receiver…. I have been doing that for decades on all my trucks after an engineer friend of mine recommended it
Yes I have to run nose high on my 5th wheel to get enough clearance.Have any of you with a 3500 SRW 4X4 ,that tows a 5th wheel, had any clearance issues between the bed and underside of 5th wheel?
No, I have about 7" clearance with my 3500, and it is level. One thing that is helping me, is my trailer has factory upgraded axles, which come with 17.5" tires, instead of the stock 16" tires.Have any of you with a 3500 SRW 4X4 ,that tows a 5th wheel, had any clearance issues between the bed and underside of 5th wheel?
Really depends on the trailer… most newer trailers are spring over axle and clear fine older ones are spring under my 97 jayco i have switched it to spring over so it can ride level and clear the bed railsHave any of you with a 3500 SRW 4X4 ,that tows a 5th wheel, had any clearance issues between the bed and underside of 5th wheel?
