The reason the Gen-Y is not approved by Lippert, is they have a major investment and development with Reese. Gen-Y has said the approval process is overly expensive, and Lippert has expressed that they are not interested. A lot of people are using the Gen-Y, and any frame failures, Lippert would have to prove the hitch caused it.Unlike when I built the truck and now looking forward I think I am going puck style. The pucks don't seem too bad install wise and I know there are varying opinions both ways but I feel the 4 points are better. Open to discussion!
Reminder....our Reflection has the Turning Point pinbox with GenY making the only replacement as of now and not approved by Lippert from what I have seen. Being a new coach I am committed to using g it for a few years at least.

I would have a Gen-Y if I had a long bed, or my driveway wasn't on a hill such that the angle backing in from the level road brings the nose cap down to where it is not scalloped.
