Could be your Diesel Particulate Filter? Have you looked at your guage to see if it’s full?

From the 2020 Owner's Manual, p127:
Exhaust Service Required — See Dealer Now
— This message indicates regeneration has
been disabled due to a system malfunction.
At this point the engine Powertrain Control
Module (PCM) will register a fault code, the
instrument panel will display a MIL light.

Also this note:
CAUTION!
See an authorized dealer, as damage to the
exhaust system could occur soon with
continued operation.

You'll want to visit a dealer ASAP.

I bought 2020 Ram 2500 Cummins around a month ago and right now I’m in the i-75 FL because I have the exhaust system service required and service electronic throttle control messages showed up. DO NOT BUY RAM, unless you want a lemon truck. I should have kept my toyota. I had to towed this truck to the nearest dealership to my house. I will hired a lawyer to deal with this, because I won’t keep this truck after this. Will be cheaper to pay a lawyer than keep paying for a useless truck.

I’m having the same issue. I bought 2020 Ram 2500 and right now I’m in the I-75 because I have the exhaust system service required showing up. My truck have 1600+ miles. I hope the dealership take my truck or I will hired a lawyer to sued this company. This is unforgivable, having this type of issues with a brand new truck.

thanks,

Gabriel M

Now you've threaten with lawyers. Go that route. Unless there are other issues not stated, you lawyer will inform you of the lemon laws requirements.

I have a 2020 RAM 3500 DRW CC that has not had any issues in 3700 miles.

New member here. First time Dodge 3500 diesel owner. Maybe 2 hours off the lot and at 101 miles as I am on the way home on I20 the truck gave me this same message, sputtered a couple of times and shut off. Luckily got to the side of the road. Dealer is now making the 2+ hour drive to come pick it up and see what’s wrong. Sheesh. 85K invested and hoping this isn’t a sign of things to come. image.jpg

Dealer called yesterday. The fuel pump did fail, but did not implode. It would not keep pressure. It was replaced and they are hopefully bringing it to me today.

Bought my 2020 ram 2500 big horn with the 6.7. Drove it today game the exhaust system issue see dealer stalled and left my wife and I stranded in the middle of the road. Truck has 113 miles on it. Owned for less than 24 hours. Traded in my 37000 f250 diesel for this. I’m feeling like I made a mistake. My wife thinks so too and is really pissed. We were supposed to leave to Wyoming this week for vacation in this truck. Having to cancel my trip now...

Update: called the dealer. It’s the high pressure injector pump that grenaded. They are telling me it’ll be at least 6 weeks before they get the parts to repair. I called Chrysler to complain and they said they would get back to me. Still nothing.

I just had this issue come up on my 2020 2500 Laramie. I always keep the filter level on my cluster and was at the 25% mark then went to a regen so I got on the highway and started driving. Then it showed the see dealer message and that the filter was full. I don’t know how it went from 25 to full instantly. I have 10,000 miles on it, and have owned it for just 7 months. These trucks are obviously built like crap. My radio constantly doesn’t work, never recognizes my key fob, sensors all around never work and the list goes on. big waste of $75k. We’ll see what happens and if thins are made right otherwise I’ll have a new life purpose.
