coming from the ford diesel truck side or wanting to come from the ford diesel side, now with a '03 7.3L, I have been impressed with the ram brand for a couple years now and especially with all the issues ford PS is having with CP4 pumps. on the ford forums you hear a lot of the ,, you know there are millions of them on the road running thousand of miles a day for years with no issues..
And to that I say,, yes but if the pump craps out and ford "finds" water in the fuel, which i can guarantee they will, the warranty is void. You might get lucky and get it covered as they have to show some unit are being covered under warranty to make it look legal.. but that a 10K issues for you. and that SUCKS..
If all failures were not covered that would be a easy lawsuit to win so they have to cover some..
it like the worthless extended warranty game you buy that is not backed by the manf.. not worth the paper written on and some do get thing covered to make the number they need to be legal adn stay alive.
I am looking for some newer as we travel full time pulling our 30 ft airstream.. the ford does a fine job but the new stuff is nice to have. With all the info / knowledge I have gained here I know where to look, years and the one to stay away from.. kinda like the ford 6.0, 6.4 and now the 6.7 it seems.
just want say thank and i will be hanging around to learn more about the 17-18 currently.
