Anyone changed tires on Snow Chief/Off-Road Pkg?

As above, I find the snow chief LT275/70R18E tires to be too small for the truck, from an appearance perspective.

Coming off of a 2018 1500 Big Horn with the 20's, the 18's seem paltry in comparison. I also have the off road package with the bilsteins.

Has anybody swapped out just the tires? Debating a whole rim and tire replacement, but curious if there are other examples with the 18's.

Pic attached for reference..

I have the snow chief package as well, mine came with 285/60R20 in the awful transforce tires. Just a hair bigger than those but yeah still look small for the truck.

I have the Snow Cheif package. But I changed wheels and tires. 325/60/20 BFG KO2’s with Hostile Sprockets 20x9 0 offset.

How do you find the 325’s? Any material impact in your clearance? Especially when hauling?

I put on Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 285/65R20 (34.6") on stock wheels but you can probably go a little bigger on the stock 18 wheels. I got a 285/75R18 for the spare that's only slightly bigger @34.8

I will never buy another set of BFG tires ever. Too many issues and the treadwear sucks.

They are known to contribute to death wobble and are usually out of balance and out of round. I've been through more sets of KO and KO2 that I care to count and I had a pair of Rugged Trail (they no longer make) utterly fail with broken belts on the front axle of my 04.5. Both within 100 miles of the other and at least 5K left before treadwear indicators.

They just barely rub my Mopar splash guards on tight turns. And I mean BARELY. Not even enough to make noise. Only way I can tell is it leaves a mark on tight turns. Forwards and backwards. I think without the splash guards it wouldn’t touch the fender liner. Offset is the key here. Any more than a 0 offset with these tires they would rub more. I think if I went a -6 or -12 or more I would have to trim. I freakin absolutely love these tires. Have them on both of our trucks.

And as far as hauling goes, I haven’t pulled our trailer with the wheels and tires yet. But the rears have a TON of clearance. So I do t think it will be an issue. These tires measure out to be 35.5” tall and almost 13” wide. I know you can do a 37” on the rear with no lift and have no issues. Check out CJC Off-road on YouTube. They have some videos on what you can get away with without trimming or cutting.

I’ve owned at least 6 sets of KO2 tires over the last 10 years. And not one issue that you speak of.

Same here. The KO2 (previously the KO) is about the best tire on the market in my opinion. My wife runs them on her SUV and I have run them on multiple trucks.
It is a very popular tire and used both on and off road. I guess if you look at any product line for defects, you'll find them. But there are millions of KO2 tires out there rolling happily down the roads and trails.

I went with Cooper Discoverer XLT LT285/75r18(35s) with Fuel Vectors in a +18 offset. Sorry, not installed quite yet. One could assume that a set of racing slicks would perform better than the Transfarces.

Do you have any pics of them mounted yet?
