There is no gasket there apparently. Dealers acknowledge the noise and state that Corporate has to get more complaints before they will address it. They won't call it "abnormal". Thx

Its a noise that sounds like a belt squeal, an idler bearing, a water pump bearing etc... It start when the truck is cold, eventually goes away, comes back after only a short cool-down period. Not sure about performance. Some have said its an exhaust seeping thru at the manifold - exhaust connection.
