Hi All,

My 2019 3500 ( 3400 miles ) is having an issue where the AC is coming from the defrost in all modes. To clarify, when in vent mode it seaps from the defrost and constantly fogs up the windshield, the longer i sit or drive the worse it gets. If I turn the wipers on it gets worse much faster. If I put it in foot mode it is substantially worse meaning the air comes out of the defrost like I have it in defrost.

I took it to the dealership and they have a case open due to it being a safety concern but told me that FCA is aware of the issue and there is nothing the can do. It was suggested to put a mat over it or rainx it. I have already rainx it. On the way to and from North Carolina I had to stuff clothes between the dash and windshield in order to drive at night. I checked 3 other trucks on the lot and they all did the same thing. This is a serious safety issue since I live in Florida and the humidity is always through the roof. My local dealer also did a recalibration of all mode doors and modules. There was no improvement at all.

Does anyone else have this issue? How are you dealing with it? I think for $60k I should not be told to stuff items in my line of site causing the same poor visibility concern the frosting is doing.

Thanks in advance
Albert

This is an issue on the 2019 1500s as well since their release last year.... it is a long and ongoing issue along with the inadequate AC.

Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone has had any issues yet with their new HDs? I'm close to ordering mine and I'm little hesitant being its the first year, even though I know it isn't completely all new.

Just took delivery of a 2500 Laramie. AC absolutely sucks, but nothing else seems wrong in the first ten days of ownership. It was 74 degrees today and I noticed I was hot and had the AC on full and had been driving for 15 minutes.

We have been driving out since July 12th. Have to say 1000 lb/ft of torque is for fantastic towing. Drove through Canadian Rockys and never downshifted towing 11,000 lb trailer with the standard 3:73 rear gears. fuel economy is not as good as the trade-in Ram but it is worth it. Biggest issue as stated is the options ordered but not included, TTPMS and Aux Camera. Tried working with the dealer, provided info from the forums. Dealer blames the manufacturer and the manufacturer says it it a dealer issue. I don't care, I just want what I ordered. We are now filing a complaints with the FTC and state AG. Should not advertise and then not deliver. Good luck with your new truck, just make sure you get what you ordered.

I agree on the "Good Luck" part but have to apply pressure somewhere, even giving info to the dealer from the forum on the build codes for the TTPMS that is on my truck, they do not care, they got there money. I knew that I would have to purchase the sem=nsors and a new camera for my trailer, no problem. All I want is for them to help me sort it out.

I’m approaching 6k miles on a 2019 2500 Laramie megacab w/ 6.4 v8. So far the trucks been great but I’ve seen a few anomalies along the way.
1) when using CarPlay and phone while driving, sometimes the system loses Sirius completely. It appears disabled until restart
2) on occasion, the engine will surge when driving at low speeds. Not so much as to lose control, but definitely not normal.
3) A/c has been weak but works decent when using auto temp and remote start giving it a few minutes to cool off completely

The other day in a parking lot I put it in reverse and suddenly noticed I wasn't going anywhere. Looked at the trans knob and the reverse indicator was flashing. Put it in park then reverse again and it was corrected

Hi Jackel,

If you decide to address these with your Ram dealer, please let us know via private message. We would be happy to have your concerns documented and provide you with an additional layer of assistance while your truck is in service.

Hi oaklandopen,

We certainly understand why this would be concerning. If this occurs again and you decide to address it with your dealer, please let us know via private message. This way, we can have the concern documented and provide you with an additional layer of support while you work with your dealer.

Same as oaklandopen. Was backing my fifth wheel RV into it's parking space yesterday and was giving it a little gas to get over a small hump and suddenly I wasn't moving and the engine was revving. It was like someone switched it out of drive and into neutral, however, the trans knob was in reverse and blinking. I put it in park and then reverse again and it worked just fine. What the heck is that all about??

^^I've had that happen on two of my 1500's with the rotary gear shifter. It's a way to prevent accidentally going into reverse if the computer doesn't sense that you are stopped (with foot on brakes) or it thinks you skipped neutral.

You can reproduce the fail-safe mechanism on the fly. Try switching from D to R, really fast by simply tapping the brakes and shifting very quickly. It will do the same thing... blink until you go to Park, then back to R or D.

On the 2500's it might be a sensitivity update or something required but I wouldn't take it as something is wrong with the vehicle, it's more of a fail-safe mechanism to prevent transmission damage.

It shouldn't be like that because that's how you rock out of a stuck situation.

I hear you, and I'm not an engineer, but speed should be factored into that. Several times I've rocked a vehicle out by staying on the gas and going reverse to drive

I have about 1300 Miles on mine at this point. I have had one issue so far, neither the fault of RAM or it's build quality. Apparently when I got my new wheels/tires put on my truck, the shop failed to plug back in my Transfer Case Control Module. Somehow or another, this ended up frying the part and needed to be replaced. No big deal, the shop that caused the issue is paying for all parts and labor. With that being said, I have had the most terrible experience at my local dealer humanly possible.

I ended up dropping my truck off on May 20th so they could diagnose the problem, and ensure that was the only thing that had been broken. On the 27th I call in and ask about the status of my truck, and was told the part was being ordered etc. On the 28th they called me back and said STAR, a program through MOPAR apparently would not let them order the part. However, they said I could come pick up my truck and drive it until they get the part ordered. So I was already a little angry they had my truck for 9 days, and did not call me and tell me this sooner, as I had been getting rides to work with people and was ready for this to be over.

However, the story does not end there. The service person pulled my truck around and I went to go get back into it. I opened my door and noticed that they had not even put my truck back together. My floor mats were just thrown onto my seat. There were pieces from under the dash laying on my floorboard. Wires were left unplugged under my vehicle, and they had somehow gotten globs of engine oil all over my center console, and arm rest. Needless to say I went in and raised hell, spoke to the GM, got a loaner vehicle while they said they would "Detail" my truck. They finally brought my truck back to me yesterday, I told them they could come get the loaner from my house, and drop my truck off, they had wasted enough of my time at this point. Well, I guess detailing of a truck to them means throwing some tire shine on the tires, and not even cleaning the interior. At least the truck was back together. (I also took pictures of the interior, as well as the wiring underneath the truck, and the oil stains before I let them "fix" it.)

Anyways, I have a permanent oil stain on my center console now. I ended up calling corporate and complaining, more to be heard with that. In the end I also spoke to a customer service rep at a call center who said I could order the part I need myself, that the dealer mysteriously couldn't order in 9 days. She was able to look in the file apparently and find the part number, and was nice enough to actually tell me what it was, so I went ahead and did that. I figure I'll play the old game of, who gets it first. Anyways, I'm not impressed with my local dealership. I will not be returning there ever again. They wouldn't even tell me what part needs to be replaced. Obviously because they're billing the shop that caused the issue, they don't want them just ordering the part and putting it in for me. I spoke to the shop that caused the initial problem, and they're ordering the part as well, so hopefully this fixes it. If not they have already approved me taking it to a different dealership if that does not for some reason fix the problem.

My guess on RAM putting a hold on the part was that this dealership tried to get the part replaced under warranty, so they could pocket all the cash from the shop paying for it, and get reimbursed from RAM at the same time. RAM probably asked questions on why a TCCM failed at 1300 miles, and they got caught. Who knows at this point. I'm not even sure now that I have my truck back and caused such a stink that they will even order the part or call me back. It was hard enough to get a call returned while my truck was there. Regardless, after what I saw, I'm afraid for them to even touch my truck again. I was honestly so angry I considered driving down to the Ford dealership and trading the truck in on a F-250, because I was never treated like that there. Oh well, day 11 without 4WD. Hopefully this problem will be resolved sometime in the next week.
Man, this is terrible! Maybe you should post the name of that dealership so the rest of us will never go there, for ANYTHING!

Omarf4 - Thanks for the information on the reverse issue. I plan on discussing this with my dealer along with a few other perceived problems I have noticed. I hear you on the possible chance that you could mistake the rotary gear shifter dial for the radio volume dial. I thought I could get past the rotary gear shifter instead of a shifter on the column, but, I have to admit I cannot. I absolutely hate the rotary gear shifter.

1155miles so far and other than the weak A/C, the truck (knock on wood) has been awesome.

Twice I have pushed the brake pedal on startup and it was very soft. Brakes worked fine but pedal was still soft for a minute. Not sure if it is a booster issue.

Here is a new one for me. Took our 5th wheel up into the mountains. The 2 times I started my truck it stalled on me. The second time, thinking it was cold, I remote started it for a few minutes but when I put it in drive it stalled. Once I restarted it, the truck seemed to rev up and down until I drove maybe 50 feet.
