This is why I went with the 285/65. Works great. View attachment 71301
On my previous RAM 2500, I had the factory 18" wheels with 35x12.5 toyo's and they rubbed the radius arms. Other than that, it performed/handled well with them. I would love to raise the front just 1" and get some 2.5" shocks all around and get some bigger tires. Will probably stick to a 285/65r20. Would be AWESOME if AEV (or someone) would make a 18x9 or 20x9 wheel with about 40mm offset and allow me to use stock lug nuts... Interestingly, the new Chev ZR2 has 18x9 inch wheels from the factory with a 305/70 (roughly 35x12.5) AND AEV makes a wheel for the ZR2 that is also 18x9. But, for the RAM, we have to drop to a 17x8.5 with 27mm offset, if we want an AEV wheel....285/65R20 Falken A/T3W's rub slightly.
295's will rub....
What about rubbing on the radius arms? that's where my 35x12.5r18 on stock wheels rubbed... Your setup looks greatI put 35 12.50 / 20 Toyo Open Country AT3s on my stock rims. I got a little nervous and used that as an excuse to put a 2 1/2 leveling kit on, with 1 inch in the rear. That eliminated any chance of rubbing.

No backspacing. Stock wheels and no rub.Rubbing on the sway bar and radius arms (where oversized tires rub with stock wheels) isn’t eliminated with a lift, it’s done with different backspacing on the wheels.
