Hey guys what’s the longest folks have seen their rigs in production status? Mine went production on 6/28 and still same status. When I checked with the dealer Friday 7/8 it was still E status. Lots of the Ram tracker screenshots show production being done in 2-3 days.

View attachment 40972Tracker changed to this today. It has been showing 7/21 as delivery. I’m either very lucky or the tracker is jacked. Going to check with Sandi tomorrow. Will get info for spreadsheet as soon as I hear.
Mine shipped Friday, shows 8/15 for delivery. Mine's only going to OKC though, so I expect it'll be way sooner.

My truck showed up on lot on 07/11, but paint was chipped on front bumper. So they have to send it off to have front bumper repainted. Hopefully I get to pick it up on Saturday.
Ah, sorry to hear that. Better than being lost! Hopefully they are quick to get it fixed. I am sure they will be.

Just got the below from Sandi at MD. Line 1296 on spreadsheet :

Looks like it may have been in the huge mass of vehicles we received.

Current situation:

We must check it in for transport damage, if its minor we have to schedule it for repair. It must go through the shop, PDI process and final inspection. That process can take 4-7 days depending on the volume we have. The dealership will then email you an announcement notification with photos and ‘next step’ instructions. Our sales manager will try reaching on the phone to congratulate you. Then our finance team schedules a zoom meeting with you within 24-72 hours to complete your terms/finance, finally our logistics specialist will contact you to arrange shipping or your choice of delivery.

Currently this process is taking 7 days due to the port dropping over 300 vehicles on us in the last 72 hours.

Please follow the instructions that will come with the email announcing it has arrived when you receive it.

I have no control over who is serviced first nor the ability to expedite, and they are processed in order off loaded.

I just recently went through that frantic wait. I think everyone wishes their truck was "ready for pick up" upon arrival at the dealership. Unfortunately it takes them days to get to it, and another few days to handle all the financing. I just wrapped up all the bank stuff last Thursday, found and paid for a carrier on Friday and now my truck is scheduled to be picked up today (at MD) and delivered to me in So Cal this Friday (7/15). Welcome to the hardest part of the wait ;)

This sounds like a lot of steps. But honestly it’s a lot more organized sounding than how mine went.

Question to all, how long was it till you saw movement on the order status? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey @ktatsch, it’s definitely all over the board. Just like @Andersen24 said.
I placed 2 orders in January. The first one on January 10 and it was delivered to the dealer in St Louis, MO on March 22 (if I remember correctly). The second one was ordered January 28, built April 1, arrived at Mark Dodge on April 27.

Alright Folks, here we go on weekly update ;-)
Happy to see some movement on the Build of last year is almost all caught up (13 out of 961 pending, 98.6% complete) 26 Pending Delivery and 7 Pending build

Overall numbers from last week (Pretty good week) with overall completion rates
7 more orders added
8 Built - Overall 93.2% complete total (currently sitting at 100 units left to build) - Rome wasn't built in a day ;-)
63 Delivered - Overall 73.8% complete total - this is purely thanks to @brv10 and @OfficerDirtySanchez for checking stale records on the spreadsheet for some users that have not been as active and affecting the overall results. (this is an update do up to Dec 2021, it involves a large time commitment and we appreciate @brv10 help and input. It is somewhat sad that so many were delivered and users/owners not returned back here to let us know this, that would make life a little simpler.)

More metrics/analysis for the data freaks (completion rates with qtys pending)
2021 - (13 out of 961 pending Build, 98.6% complete), delivery is at 92.5% (72 out of 961 waiting for shipping) - 72 is an amazing number, even more amazing is 53 orders are canceled overall, show show delivered others dont. 26 Pending Delivery and 7 Pending build
Q2-May and June of 2021 are 100% built, delivery is at 98.0% (4 out of 198 waiting for shipping) - the 4 that are not shipped are canceled ordered - 15 total canceled orders- we can now count Q2 2021 100% completed
Q3-July, Aug and Sep of 2021 are almost 100%(99.5% to be exact) Built (only shy 2 out of 375), and delivery is at 98.1% (7 out of 375 waiting for shipping) - 15 orders are canceled so the Build and delivery is much closer than shown
Q4-Oct, Nov and Dec of 2021 Build is at 97.2% (11 out of 388 pending), Delivery starts to rear its ugly head (but its almost there), is at 91.5% (33 out of 388 waiting for shipping) - 23 orders are canceled so the Build and delivery is much closer than shown - should put build at 100% as well and delivery even more complete

2022 - (87 out of 515 pending Build, 83.1% complete), delivery is at 33.4% (343 out of 515 waiting for shipping)
Q1-Jan, Feb and March of 2022, Build is at 92.7% (30 out of 409 pending), Delivery continues with challenges, 40.6% (243 out of 409 waiting for shipping) - 9 orders are canceled so the Build and delivery is much closer than shown
Q2-April, May and June of 2022, Build is at 46.7% (56 out of 105 pending), Delivery is at 0.06% (99 out of 105 waiting for shipping) - 4 orders are canceled so the Build and delivery is much closer than shown
Q3-July of 2022, Build is at 0% (1 out of 1 pending), Delivery is at 0% (0 out of 1 waiting for shipping)

Let me know if any other metrics should/could be evaluated.

Thank you for the lift again @brv10 and @OfficerDirtySanchez

*Warning for anyone shipping their vehicle from Mark Dodge*
Let me preface this by saying MD is doing everything they can to utilize carriers who are fit for moving vehicles, in a timely manner. A carrier's performance should, in no way, be a reflection of the services provided by the great people at MD.

Summary:
MD recently stops utilizing Central Dispatch (load board) to ship customer's vehicles, citing issues with transit times.
MD begins using a "premium/white-glove" service, RunBuggy. Cost of shipping increases $800/$1000 per vehicle.
-RunBuggy is a broker/3PL (not an actual carrier with equipment)
MD begins experiencing transit time issues with RunBuggy and will most likely be going back to Central Dispatch
-Increased pricing of shipments with RunBuggy are not justified by services recevied.

To make an extremely long story somewhat short, I booked my shipment with RunBuggy privately. Meaning I did not have MD book this with RunBuggy for me. I contacted RunBuggy directly and booked the shipment. They do NOT provide a "premium service". The carrier on my shipment, through RunBuggy, is Extra Mile Transport.

Timeline:
7/7/22 - Shipment Booked
7/12/22 - Missed Scheduled Pick Up
7/13/22 - Missed Scheduled Pick Up
7/14/22 - Rescheduled Pick Up - TBD
7/15/22 - Delivery ETA (Not Happening)
ETA???

Suggestion: If you haven't already selected a carrier for your shipment, do not use RunBuggy to find a carrier for you. Also do not suggest utilizing or contacting Extra Mile Transport directly. What I would suggest is that you have MD use Central Dispatch to book the load for you. It will be significantly cheaper than going through RunBuggy.

With all of that said, I work in the transportation industry and have for the last decade. I am very familiar with carriers, brokers, 3PLs etc. Transit times are NEVER guaranteed and 8/10 times, there is some sort of hang up during transit. Weather, break downs, issues at origin, or driver issues. I don't believe there is any perfect carrier. And just like the whole ordering/building/delivering process we have all gone through with our vehicles, it comes down to luck of the draw with carriers as well. Just don't use RunBuggy/Extra Mile Transport!

Thanks Kenny - My truck is expected to arrive at MD on the 25th and I'm still trying to decide whether to ship my truck or fly down and drive back myself, so this is helpful. I'm in the Northeast so about 1650 miles, any idea what might be a good price so I have something to shoot for when talking to MD or looking at other carriers?

I am in Southern California and MD is exactly 1699 miles from my door step, lol. Unfortunately pricing is rarely negotiable within the transportation industry. Pricing is always comprised of a few different factors, the biggest being diesel prices and the second being how many more spots on the trailer are left. The first few trucks on a trailer pay the most, the last few get the best price. Where you fall in that is typically out of anyone's control.

Fair pricing for a 1600-1700 mile move, in today's market, is between $1,200 - $1,800. Don't expect to be on the lower end of that, unless you're willing to wait to be the last truck to get loaded on a full trailer. That could take days to week, all depends on where the rest of the vehicles (on the trailer) are going. Hope that all makes sense.

That's interesting, thanks. Just anecdotally, Aaron at MD said last week he'd expect it to cost around $2300-2500, so maybe that's what he's been seeing with people using RunBuggy?

Exactly, that is RunBuggy pricing. Considering your truck's ETA isn't for another week, MD may make the switch back to Central Dispatch by the time yours is released for pick up. But even if they are still using RunBuggy at that time, I would suggest requesting that they put the shipment up on Centrail Dispatch instead. Either way, you will receive what is most likely considered to be a sub-par service experience (9/10 carriers suck), but you'll pay less for it! lol

RunBuggy just confirmed my truck has been picked up and is en route. My sentiment for this broker/situation remains. Hopefully the transit time isn't extended again. Will update along the way if any more issues arise or when the truck finally delivers.
