2021 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your order here!

Does anyone have an idea on how the routes are determined and what path they take? I am curious as to which way the trains will go and where they will unload Obviously, we will have to harness up the dog team to the dog sled to pick up the truck, but once we get it back to the igloo, we can take our pet moose for a ride

My truck arrived at my dealer's lot yesterday, March 9, exactly 10 weeks to the day from when I ordered on December 29. I was tied up with other things today, so I'll probably pick it up tomorrow. I had my sales person draw up all of the paperwork in advance so I just have to go in, sign a few docs, and get the keys.

Most of the incentives and rebates that were available back in December when I ordered were no longer valid, but I did manage to get a $500 discount for owning a business (my wife's consulting LLC) and also a $1000 FCA incentive available through Penfed. And there is a $250 rebate from the BonusDrive program that I am eligible for through my employer. I also took full advantage of the 0% financing for 36 months which is actually more valuable to me than another $1 or $2k in incentives anyway, since I can leave the $80k in investments and other places that will likely return a lot more on my money than the incentives. (I financed the full amount of the truck including taxes and fees less the $3k deposit I put down when I ordered).

The delivery timing is actually working out great, as we have a camping trip to Utah planned in early April that I really wanted to use this truck for, so this gives me about 3 weeks to make sure everything is in order before hitching up our 28' TT to head over the Rockies to Dead Horse State Park. I will probably sell my 2015 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel in a month or two after I get a chance to clean it up a bit to put it on the market.

To all those still waiting for their trucks, I wish you continued patience. The less I paid attention to my truck's progress, the faster it seemed to go...

I'll post a few pix when I get it home later this week.

FCA Canada doesn’t seem to have the same access that FCA US does for some odd reason. When I called every number I could find and “obtained” (we will leave it at that!!) they couldn’t tell me anything because mine is a “Canadian spec order”. I agree that @RamCares or any of the customer service numbers I called SHOULD be able to tell you SOMETHING but it was all the exact same canned responses. Hence the reason o was so frustrated that I even attempted to call the president of FCA to discuss my disgust in the lack of basic information for the buying customer
Thank you man i try to too call FCA today and they told me there truck records not found wich i know bcoz or been more the. 11 week and its still on D Status not sure who i can talk to i been saving for this truck for 5 yaers lol

My 1/22 order has regressed from D1 back to D. I do have a lot of the tech/safety options in my build, so while they said orders that were already in the system will still get those features (lane-keep, blind spot, etc.) maybe that just means we have to wait a long time until some small quantity of parts show up.

My order schedule, so far...
  • Placed order Feb. 10, 2021
  • Dealer said will ship Mar. 31, 2021 (In D1 status, 3/9/2021)
  • Notified by FCA email will arrive dealer week of Apr. 18, 2021
Dealer is in Northern California.

Fingers crossed!

Hey all So I just contacted the FCA a customer care and they just told me there is nothing they can do and I have to contact the dealership and when I talk to the dealership they told me there is nothing we can do we have to wait this is what Dodge ram is doing right now so disappointed it’s been more than 11 weeks since I ordered my truck and it is still on status D

Mine was fully loaded (all safety features) which I believe is why its not built yet. Seems others with all the safety features/group is in the same boat. Others who are getting their truck in 8 - 10 weeks seem to not have the safety group. Feel bad for you guys...I feel your frustration. Good luck!

I placed my order Feb 2nd, Have the Vin but that's it. (Got the vin around Feb 15th).
No other info available as of yet I'm told.

My truck was fully loaded other than a sunroof and the 12.1 inch screen. Ordered beginning of December, picked up beginning of March.

Weird update. I've contacted Ram Chat about once a week for the past 3 weeks and each time the status was "All parts have been gathered and it will be entering the build process soon".

Then today I contact them, and the update is "Waiting for parts to arrive before it can enter the build stage"

Edit: Dealer confirmed that my truck moved from D1 status to D status. That's frustrating.

I hope this is not a trend!!

Even with the D1 --> D change, the estimated ship date did not move from 3/17, so maybe (hopefully!) that's the case here. I will keep checking for build sheet. Thanks for the info.

@otter When we were tracking our SRT Demon builds it seemed a lot of them regressed back to D right before they got built.
That's odd, but maybe good news if that's the case for us. If that is not the case, it's a real head scratcher to try to think about how they had all the parts for our builds and then didn't? I'd imagine that those parts were allocated, but maybe the D1 status just indicated that they had the parts in the plant, and those parts were allotted to a different vehicle. Who knows.

I believe Dodge is using CN at the moment which means they will likely be distributed from the London Ontario Terminal

Dealer contacted me with an ETA of March 30 to April 13. Shipped March 7. Right now it is on a train somewhere between Mexico and Detroit.
My SL was Feb 25 so maybe in a couple of weeks for me?? Who knows

My truck is going through Chicago to Detroit. There is a rail yard under the Ambassador Bridge where they are off loaded. Canadian trucks pick up the trucks destined for Canada, take them across the bridge and transfer them to a yard in Windsor. There may be other routes, but that is what is listed for my truck.

How did you find that out?
