6.7 Engine Air Filter Confusion

Well in my 22 I have only used the Fleetguard AF 27684 air filter without any problems, I have found that the Fleetguard is cheaper than OEM Mopar and I don't have to worry if they made some stupid changes to it that in time will need another revision to drive everyone crazy...

If I’m not mistaken, they (FleetGuard) did change the AF27684 filter at one time but went back to the original design after some of us complained to NashNative a representative for FleetGuard. I think it was mostly supply chain issues but for whatever reason(s) they went back to the original. I have been using the FleetGuard filter ever since the first change and will attempt to do so from now on. I have 2 new Mopar AB filters on the shelf but have been biased towards the FleetGuard after someone had issues with the Mopar filter.

I just skimmed this thread. So y'all are saying the filter media with glue strips doesn't play nice with the MAF sensor on the truck? Really? Why would that be?

It’s a conundrum for sure. The AF 27684 is what is in mine and it’s working. That’s the one I’ll use as long as I can get them.
I bought both, the regular Fleetguard I’ve been running and the updated mopar. I should have them both Thursday.
Edit: I’m gonna try em both, although the new filter I just swapped in was my usual Fleetguard, I’m gonna try another one. Hopefully I get some relief with one of those. I will update.
