Uconnect 12” not working

I have a 2020 Ram 3500 Longhorn and my 12 inch display will attempt to load Sirius and say it is loading but will not let my audio work if I change it to FM nothing, Android auto nothing. Shutting the truck off only seems to work if I let it sit for at least 5 or 10 minutes. Had it at dealer and of course they couldn't replicate and no codes found. This has happened to me once a day for the past three days the truck has 150 miles on it. Frustrating, any other suggestions folks have? I tried the soft reset method but it doesn't seem to do the trick.
I bought my 2020 Ram 2500 last Friday and it started doing this exact thing yesterday. Did it twice yesterday and 5 times today. The dealership I bought it at is 2 hours away so it’s not like it’s class. The two closer dealerships can’t get me in for a week. The problem with that is I’m Active Duty so I am on the road a lot. Super frustrating to drop $60K on a truck and start getting issues a mere 4 days later.

I forgot to mention my truck only has 23K miles.

I have recorded videos of this for dealership who said they were filing claim with Ram to get new unit but 3 weeks and nothing. I can’t get the dealership to call me back with an update. So frustrating and angry. How can there not be a software update to fix these issues. Love the truck besides this.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Ryan
Did you try updating the software? The performance of the system can sometimes be improved by updating the Uconnect software, which can also fix any bugs or glitches that might be present in the system. It is highly recommended to check for updates on a regular basis in order to ensure the functionality is at its best.

I am having the same issue 2020 ram 2500 , started the week I bought it new, took it back 6 times before they replaced the radio, fast forward and same thing started again. You start the truck and XM "
acquiring signal" nothing works. Radio or phone. Sometimes radio works but if you switch to XM it will stop working. If I restart truck after letting it sit a min or 2 it sometimes works or if I drive it for 10- min or so. I checked for updates and it says to date. Ive tried to disconnecting battery and it works a few times. Any suggestions, 36k is over?

So after my trip to the dealership. They reset it and put the truck in sleep mode, which is apparently a thing, and I haven’t had any issues since then.

I have a 2020 Ram 2500 now having this issue again of the audio locking up when SiriusXM will not load about 2 out of every 3 times I start the truck for the past few weeks now. After turning my truck on, when I switch to SiriusXM or if my radio was on SiriusXM before shutting off, I am often receiving the message "SiriusXM Loading. Please Wait..." The loading message will not go away and the audio completely locks up and I cannot listen to anything or use Bluetooth or Android CarPlay for audio. The only thing I can do is shut the truck off for a few minutes, turn it back on, and hope that radio and audio starts working. This issue occurred to me back in 2021 after purchasing the truck brand new for about 8-10 months. I had taken it into the dealership, Wegner Auto Company Inc., in Pierre, SD probably a half dozen times. The dealership was never were able to resolve the issue and repeatedly told me to continue waiting for an update. Eventually after about 8 months, the issue finally resolved itself and the radio has not had any issues for about the last 2-3 years. However, the problem is back as of about 4 weeks ago. I haven taken into the dealership, Wegner Auto Company Inc., a couple of times thus far without a resolution yet. This is extremely frustrating that I am not able to use the audio in my truck when it locks up! Also, I have verified the radio software is up-to-date. have tried to push a signal refresh through SiriusXM while the truck is on. That also did not resolve the issue. Any help or guidance on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2024 RAM 2500 12" UConnect. On occasion the screen freezes and a very loud constant noise happens. After ~15 seconds the noise stops, screen goes black, loading message appears, then Accept message appears. I tap Accept then screen and functions become operable. This condition is random therefore going to dealer probably will only result in a Can Not Duplicate result.

Update - The local dealership was able to do an update to the SiriusXM radio last week. Thus far, that has seemed to have resolved the issue.

Was the update Sirius XM software that only the dealer could do as opposed to us owners contacting SiriusXM to have them refresh or update their software?

I had a 1-week follow-up call today with the dealer to let them know the radio is working 100% of the time which is good news. However, I did ask the dealer if that update is something I could have done on my end or something they have to do. Unfortunately the answer is no, they have to plug in their computer to apply the update. At least my radio is working again and they did not charge my anything for the update. I'm a happy Ram owner again!

Have a 2020 Ram -- 55K miles on it. Drive down the road for 5 mins, UConnect radio restarts/reboots. Comes back up.. no problem. 5 mins later... same thing.. Restart.
Continues Ad infinitum...

- New battery (system reset)
- Radio defaults reset
- Attempted hard reset thru the knobs.

What the heck is causing these rebooting problems?! The forums are littered with these issues.

My 2025 does this. Haven't been able to figure out a sequence to duplicate it but it's always after the truck sits for a bit. Like go to work and when I go to leave it will lock-up/reboot within like 5 seconds of starting the truck. Haven't had time to check with the dealer but clearly still an issue.
