Pulling a TT or 5er? Where/how are you mounting your screens for TTMS/Backup Camera/Garmin/Whatever?

Got my Furrion 7” display rigged up to take place of the mirror when hitched, since it’s wasted space anyways. I used the Haloview mirror mount with some heavy duty Velcro to the display. For power, since I wanted to use the factory cord, I tapped into the overhead console wiring with a marine grade fused 12v socket. It all tucks into the sunglasses holder I never use so it’s out of sight. I don’t care for wires all over. OCD

Display still has the plastic film on it. Hence the cruddy look and no camera to talk to at the moment.

The Rubigrid was tight up against the dash cubby so I designed and 3D printed a base in PETG to tilt it back and up a little. Fits in the detents perfectly. Use the supplied tape to mate the Rubigrid to the base. I didn't use any tape for the base to cubby and haven't seen any issue with just the screws holding it. Heavier total weights may want to add tape to the underside of the base.

I use RAM ball mount bases and arms with mine.
Hey @Brutal_HO, did you have to substitute longer screws to get it mounted? The factory ones don't quite reach for me once I mate it to this base, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something or if I should look for longer screws. (I don't want them so long that they cause damage lol). My dry fit run with your base is a perfect fit though and avoids the problem of the corners hitting. Thanks.

I do have longer screws.

Do you remember what type and length you're using? I had some #8 3/4 inch sheet metal screws laying around and while they do seem to thread OK, it still seems a little loose for me, and I'm afraid to try 1 inch (although I guess I can also use washers too). Thank you so much.

Nice... this looks like the solution!
Rearview is useless while towing anyway...

I still use my rearview when towing because it's handy to have the side mirror camera views up there with a trailer (I have DVRM 3.0), so I didn't want to block it. I did get my BulletPoint mounted finally though, will post photos.

Got my Bulletpoint Rubigrid mounted in my RAM 3500 (2023 Limited Mega Cab) with the 12" screen. It sort of fit with the factory but the corners definitely were right up against the edges. However, with @Brutal_HO's base, it raised it just enough to clear properly and still be secure. I did end up replacing the factory screws with #8 x 1" pan head phillips self-drilling screws (I got the Everbilt brand ones from HD) after making very certain it wouldn't go deeper than the factory with the additional 3D-printed base. It is very secure.

For now, I have my large cellphone on the left and the Furrion 7" monitor on the right. I may play with the arm placement a little more, but I wanted it away from the windshield enough that it didn't block my view and yet still easy to see while driving. I will probably also add something to the middle eventually.

Some pics (including the base without the top grid screwed in). So far, I'm liking it!

Note: I accidentally printed 2 more bases than I needed, so if anybody wants my extras, I'd be happy to ship them out for a couple of bucks + the cost of postage.

I have this setup that replaces my Furrion Camera - the camera from this kit is wireless and uses the AUX cameras on your Uconnect if your radio supports it. It allowed me to ditch that furrion monitor. I also installed the Ram trailer TPMs so I didn't need another external source for that.

This is nice. Where is the cord from the amplifier on the hitch going?

Got my bulletpoint mount moved over to the '25. It's TIGHT fit with the bigger screen and the short arm for the Garmin but I think it'll work! This thread gave me a bunch of ideas when I first was working on my setup appreciate everyone sharing!

I don't tow a big trailer but thought I'd butt-in here with an alternative idea.

If you get a camera system that has an app for Android you can get a CarPlay AI box that may be able to project your cameras on the infotainment screen. CarPlay AI boxes can run nearly any Android app and project them on the infotainment screen. A nuance may be that the AI box needs to use Wi-Fi to connect to the phone's hotspot (if you don't use a SIM card) and may compete with the cameras. I use one in my other vehicle for apps that Android Auto doesn't allow. And some Ram truck owners use them to get full screen Google Maps on the 12" infotainment screen.

Just a thought.

Just curious. Do you remember the length of the arm that you used for your GPS? Setup looks similar to what I was thinking of.
Thanks
I used the 10cm | 3.94" for the GPS, overall length is 18cm | 7.1". Photo is of my setup. the mount to the right is magnetic mount for phone.

Last year I worked on a customer's Chevy Bright Drop van. Fixing the auxiliary power system for the auxiliary power system ( it was a conversion ) .

That thing has cameras all over the place, and I could watch any of them while driving via the big screen on the dash.

I just don't understand why this is not possible on a pick up truck like a RAM HD.

Banks iDash in the cluster. Homebrew mount using 2" PVC.
Wolfbox 850pro dashcam on rearview.
When towing, TPMS (guta) for trailer and spare tires goes on the dash along with trailer camera (which I towed some time without.)

Wolfbox has a hardwire harness tucked into the overhead console and wired in accordingly. Guta is solar. When I get happy with the trailer camera I'll run a wire somewhere clean.

Banks may eventually get swapped for MM3 if I start changing things.

Screen overload.
