TPMS (TIS) sensors for trailer (SOLVED - see 1st post) aka TTPMS - Trailer TPMS

It should be available on all 8.4 Radios, since i remember when i was optioning my truck, if you wanted the towing tech package on the tradesman, it included the most basic 8.4" radio in the package to support all the features.

The TTPMS announcement video (in February 2019!) shows a screen that isn't 12".
EDIT: I still get mad every time I watch this video. I ordered my 2019 because of this video and other videos by Ram.

The uconnect website is a joke, the update page on it doesn't actually work, I think they just leave it up so people think they have a little control over the product they paid for. You either have to pray you get an OTA update, OR go to your dealer and tell them your radio is acting up, and the dealer should have access to firmware updates and should be able to upload one for you... If they give you a hard time you can see if you qualify for this recall: https://www.consumerreports.org/car...ep-ram-recall-rearview-backup-camera-display/ which should bring you up to the latest firmware release.

In my 12" Uconnect I had firmware 18.45.40, with a build date of november 2018, and this firmware was too old and did not support the TTPMS features. Since i added my 12" Uconnect after i bought the truck local dealers were giving me a hard time about updating the firmware, but I was able to squeeze one of them by referencing the Recall, and that brought me up to firmware 19.43.1a or newer, and that unlocked the Trailer TPMS menus in my Uconnect.

Edit: just checked the recall update brought my radio to 20.04.19 with a build date of January 2020

Did someone say what the difference in 19.43.1 and 19.43.1a was? I couldn’t find it back in the thread. Mine is showing 19.43.1 (2019 2500)

The bigger question is why is there suddenly no stock on that cable?

How many here in the thread got a cable? 2 or 3 people? Or did all the lurkers snatch them up before I got my order placed?

Were there only a few in stock in the fulfillment centers?

Did a lurker, perhaps (tinfoil hat on) even RamCares alert FCA we are ordering parts to add options ourselves. However, owners have been doing this on lots of sales feature codes for many years now.

I'm kinda pissed that after all the effort, I can't get a cable.

Lol...you’d be surprised how little stock they keep on some items. When I first figured out how to add factory keyless enter n go on the 4th gens, it only took like two more people to do it before they were back ordered on the passive entry antennas.

Has anyone actually received a cable? I ask because one possibility is the cable was never in stock.

I ordered a cable from allmoparparts.com the moment the part number was posted in the forum, but my order is still in the processing phase. Their shipping department asked me to acknowledge the part is for a 2020, not a 2019, which I did, but it still hasn't shipped, yet.

Same, ordered from allmoparparts.com and it is stuck in processing. I emailed them Saturday, got a reply yesterday stating that the jumper was holding it up and was 5-10 days out. We'll see I guess?

I ordered the jumper the moment I got the part number Tuesday evening last week (21st), I still have not received it. Usually anything i order takes about 4 business days before they get the item if it's in stock in the Michigan Mopar warehouse, and then 1 additional day to ship it from their location in NY to me in NJ.

I also ordered from All Mopar Parts. When I emailed they said 5-10 days backorder. Still shows “processing.”

Got mine with the new build. Called Wal-Mart an Sam's today to price check the install but there automotive shop was closed as it was deemed non essential wich is stupid considering auto dealerships are considered essential an there service departments are open. So I called the local dealership to price me 4 valve sensor installs with me bringing the tires in an they said $110. I bought fell over since someone on this site said they got it done for 15 a wheel. I told them to take a flyng leap, I'll wait for wallies or Sam's to open back up. Didn't want to go to a jiffy lube tire place because they could care less if they damage my sensors or not. You can always hold wallies accountable.

With me traveling, i need to stick with box chain places, makes it easier WHEN you have a problem

Discount Tire is a national chain isn’t it?

Not 100% sure on that one. That's one down side to doing this, you learn to not try something outside of a Wal-Mart or Amazon or little ceasers cause as soon as you like something then you move on an can't find it again.. So anyway, what I'm Goin to do is remove wheels across 1 axle at a time ( as opposed to doing both on the same side because if it were to go over , you'd never get it back up) then take in to have sensors put on. When i eventually get all 4 done an set at 80 psi, ill then go through the pairing process an slowly draining air from 1 tire at a time until system chirps at me wich hopefully isn't very long , then move on to the next one. so I'm hoping by not removing the Orpheus in the valve to dump the air real fast an by doing it slowly that it won't lose all it's air before the truck acknowledges the air has actually dropped.

My oh my, your old 2016 is beautiful.

The driveuconnect.com software update site may not be trustworthy. I was on my way to a campground when I received a UConnect update notice in my truck. It said, "An update is available. Do you want to install it?" I was driving, so I declined. When I got to the camp site, I immediately went to the driveuconnect.com software update site to check if it said I needed an update. To my surprise, the web site said my system was up to date even though my truck told me an update was available.

See it every now and then driving down the road. Just like the other new features I have now that do work.

I've been following this thread since for quite a while but if this was explained already I missed it. So if this is a duplicate question, I apologize.

Do we know what the difference between the different part numbers below are?

1x 4-pack of TPMS sensors part # 68433188AA OR 4x TPMS sensors part # 68375992AA

Part 8AA contains 4 sensors in a pack.
Part 2AA contains 1 sensor, so you need 4.

The sensors are the same in both parts. It just depends if you can find the kit in stock or not.
