2021 3500 CCSB HO Build

Realistically, probably not enough to be real noticeable.

Here's the hole in question. I sanded away the diamonds on/around it and it's a weird half-moon shaped hole.

I talked to my cousin who's a welder. He said these aluminum tanks have a lot of impurities in them and it would be hit or miss to get a decent tack that wouldn't be porous. With the tank being free, I said eff it and got a JB Weld TankWeld fuel tank kit and went to town. Won't be visible as it is on the bottom of the tank.

After that dries I will deep clean this sucker.

Just a simple little change. Added in AA Wireless so I have wireless Android Auto now.

All that's visible with this little guy plugged in. No more wire or taking up a cup holder for my phone. I can use the wireless charging pad finally.

Looking forward to reaching 30k miles. While I'm changing out my transmission fluid, I will be adding this little guy to delete the thermal bypass to the transmission cooler. Mine has already stuck more than once causing a spike in transmission temps.

I'd like to find out if the Mishimoto one listed for 2013-2018 works on the current AS69RC. can't imagine it won't.

I have been wondering the same. Its a worth while upgrade i have had mine stick in the winter when plowing and saw 230° that would not drop unless i shut the truck off for a while it should have come down while in park and high idle

I looked into this as well. There are changes - most notably the connections on the cooler side are completely different. Instead of those little clips, it is the silver bracket shown in my photo that holds the lines in place. 13-18 will not work on our trucks unfortunately.

Definitely the cheapest "mod" I've done. Wanted to add a little more red in the interior.

For some reason the photos make the paracord look way orange. It matches the red gauge needles well.

With the bypass my temps are down to 140* so far which is a big drop.

Shifting is noticeably smoother after the fluid change.

I would do the bypass if we didn't have winters here.

I really wish Mishimoto would update theirs for the current AS69RC so I could run that one and put in a thermostat in the winter.
