My wife thinks I only have 3 guns
Would you mind posting some more pics in the "Night Edition" thread?

I have almost the same in a Limited on order. I enjoy being envious to the point of crushing chest pain, lol.

I have two folks giving me different answers. Maybe somebody changed a letter or a number. I don't know. I just hope brv10 understands and isn't insulted by my confusion and question. I asked the damn salesman to confirm himself and he did and wasn't offended. If you're offended brv10 I apologize, you do really nice things for folks by helping out and it is very much appreciated. I am in no way questioning your competence or abilities, just trying to make my way through the Ram build mysteries. Thanks
The tracker shows I’m built on 5/19, @brv10 tells me I’m JB since 5/19, and my dealer tells me I’m KZLD…lol

You have to choose who you’re going to believe…me personally, my monies on @brv10 !!! I have followed this forum since December of last year and I can promise you, he’s never been wrong…he is our saving grace of sanity! That, and alcohol!!

Dealer just told me I am KZT.

I know the other 2 codes are KZU (second train arrival) and KZX (delivered) but is there a chance there is something between that? Or does it only take 2 trains?

Delivering to Denver.

I've been at 'D' since at least May 16th when my dealer texted me a copy. I'm curious about what others have been experiencing for wait times for a 2500 Laramie Cummins?

I ordered a 3500 CCLB dually with the HO Cummins….not the same but to put it into perspective:

Ordered: 3/10/2022
VIN: 3/14/2022
D: 3/17/2022
D1: 3/25/2022
1st Est Build Date: 4/26/2022
2nd Est Build Date: 5/2/2022
3rd Est Build Date: 5/15/2022
Built: 5/19/2022

And now I have been JB since 10pm on 5/19.

You have a ride in front of you my friend. This forum is your friend…To quote myself as I drink my drink (because that’s what I do) - saddle up, buckle up, and enjoy the ride! There is NO rhyme or reason to the way things happen when it comes to the almighty build and the never-ending wait wait wait

I was D for a month and a half before going D1, its all about options, the cycle the moon is in, and how they divided by elephant during scheduling.
If they don't get it built before the assembly line changes over to 2023 production, will mine still be a 2022 model? Or, will they almost certainly have it built before the change over?

Lately it seems to be between 30-90 days before it goes to D1 (scheduled) and gets in the queue for building, then another 30-90 days to get actually built. assembly is a few days 2-3. Then if you have bed-liner, bed step, or steps it will go to another vendor. then return back for final inspection and then prepped for shipping. then seems to be at least another 30-90 days. unless you get stuck in a lot. If in a lot as many seem to be due to rail car shortage (related to a variety of factors, personnel and resources). the wait is magnanimous.

my order is 10 days behind yours, so we can keep an eye on progress along this journey and see where it differs. I have a pretty complex set and array of packages on a Big Horn HO Diesel. so we will see.

Welcome to the forum. Many details/mods and reading materials here.

Are you still KZLD? Was the estimated date from ram or the dealer?
Yup KZLD. According to dealer they cant see where it is. This is from RAM chat, they didnt respond for 5 minutes after my last messages so I closed it. I just don't understand how they don't know whether they shipped something or not. Doesn't give me a whole lot of faith in the truck or company standing behind their product if they can't keep track of where vehicles are. Granted a $67k truck is just a drop in the hat when you're talking billions of dollars. My father in law has ordered 2 GM 1500 AT4s and looks like both will be in before mine. He also order the 1st one 3 weeks later than i ordered mine.

I ordered April 30 from MD. My status is the same as yours. 3500 srw bighorn lwb hemi 4.10 50gallon. Few options other than level 1 (or was it A) and wheel to wheel running boards. Im wondering if the fact that I ordered the fairly uncommon tan seats has anything to do with it.

These are HD's (2500 and 3500), if i remember correctly the 1500's are built somewhere else than Santillo. I have heard some scenarios here from the other big 2 with issues as well. its a general industry situation. In terms of the communication of know exact location of vehicle, I believe it has to do with all the diff vendors/stages, and how those systems interact and communicate with each other. The details and integration we are looking for, may not really exist.

the UPS and others of the world, even when they use rail. they load and unload their own stuff and probably have trackers in their containers to see overall progress. I believe that here Ram is relying on updates from the vendors or updates from their own network that they can control more (loaded into train to until it arrives at dealer) the in-between may be a dark hole.

on the train some vendors may communicate train cars, some may not. our interaction is with RAM, RAM interacts with many, many different points. And all of the variable may be diff between the same kind of vendor (rail, truck, boat). They know when it left and they dont know when it will arrive, hence the window provided, the next point of contact is the dealer or some intermediate yard that may or may not update the system right.

The local yards do know what they have, as some here have been able to call a number, provide a vin and get an update, those details dont make it all the way to the mothership, or if they do they are old news by then.

I'm thankful for @brv10 @OfficerDirtySanchez @IowaPW @pacnw1963 among others, that give insight detail and help to the best of their abilities as this is more of a passion project than family support.

I purposely left off the options that would send it to an outside vendor (hopefully).....kinda figured I'd rather add options on my own later and get the truck sooner. I'm planning on driving it from CA to Nebraska in November for deer season and will be hauling a trailer over the rockies....so I'm hoping to get some good break-in miles before then.

And the wait still continues.. Zero from the dealership, new tracker just shows 2nd step but says TBD so might as well be lost in the ocean again.

You don’t hardly see one that didn’t come with limited slip. Now Ford I believe you have to specify it.
