The current HD cab structure is the same as the previous generation, which is why the rear seats do not function like the current generation half tons. From everything I have read, and heard (via sources well in-the-know), you’ll most likely not see a major refresh (current generation half ton cab on an HD chassis) until 2025.

Everything I’ve seen so far suggests only minor exterior styling changes for 2023. Potentially some different style tow mirrors and some different badging.

Same here, I do love some of those options on the 1500 and wish they were available on the HDs. HD bodies are just notorious for being behind their light duty brothers. I wonder if it’s because they don’t sell as fast as the 1500s and that stock has to be used. Of course I’m on the outside just guessing.

I put a panoramic sunroof on my mom’s 1500 (Southwest Edition) and I loved the vented rear seat, but especially the full-size fold-down console/armrest in the rear. My buddy just got a Denali 3500 today with the HUD, and while not a deal breaker it would make for a nice addition as well.

Oh well…I had heard about the possible upgrades in 2025 as well, but it doesn’t help when I have a 20k toy hauler to pull and only a lifted 06 2500 at the moment.

Dave, I’m sure in this network of owners someone would be willing to help you out. The previous owners of our rig delivered it to us from MS to Jax, and if by some strange twist our truck won’t be available to move the rig on base in May I’ll ask my friends.

Remember, plans may change but it’s not the end of the world if they do. We adapt and overcome adversity.

Yeah, I’m holding out hope something will work out, either way. I have a 7 hour drive from Ma to Pa to pickup the new camper. The dealer is understanding & is aware of the situation & willing the hold the camper until the truck is ready. But not sure how long they are willing to wait, plus I how long before I PDI the new camper before we have to pass papers on it? I may need to have an in-depth conversation about it if the truck is still in D status next month!

anyone know how many miles is on a truck when u get it. I test drove 1st order that I let them.sale as inventory and it had 10 miles on it. after I drove it it was at 24 miles I believe. when I bought my 2003 ram 1500 new on lot it had like 6 after my test drive. also ordered the banks pedal monster from autoanything to help with throttle lag. 271.00 shipped if u sign up they Gave me 15 percent off. used a spam email I jave to get the deal.

That’s not a bad price, I’m leaning towards getting one.

As far as the miles go, I believe it depends on the vehicle and how long it takes to pass QA, where it’s parked in storage, how many trips to McDonald’s the detail kid has to make…

If you’re talking about the camper, it was custom ordered through Bill’s Happy Camper. They seem to be willing to hold it until the truck is ready. Just not sure how long that is/will be at this point.

I just want my truck built already. I have a new 41’ 5th-wheel camper being built & should be ready for pickup mid-June. I sold my 3500 Dually & now will have nothing to pickup the camper, if this truck doesn’t get done in-time.
3C63RRKL9NG270126 ordered on 2/9. Still holding out hope, both will be ready at the same time. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Right there with you, have had my 43' 5W sitting in my yard since June when my first order should have been arriving. I had to miss a race weekend (Daytona 200) last month since the truck wasn't delivered in time. I pick up my truck tomorrow morning, so I will at least get to make the next race in a couple weeks.

you can add them yourself, no biggie. I bought my '06 off the lot w/o lights, and ended up buying a kit to do it myself. On the 3rd Gens there is a harness in the passenger column that the single strand plugs into... each truck is pretty much wired for everything off the line. It was a bit nerve-racking taking a hole saw to the roof, but the template made it super easy (make sure you get the template). Measure 27 times then mark holes with a punch and go from there.

Dealer can give you railcar info so that you can track the shipment w/ the rail carriers.

Mine has been in shipping stage since March 7th and have been giving the same response but with no eta from Ramchat. I call my dealer and they say April 19th then may 3rd but can't tell me if that's the date for delivery to the port or to them at the dealership. You can call Ramchat and try asking to talk to a brand mentor and they supposedly can look further into your info then they can. Ramchat has been giving me the same response for the past month
