Arrived 29 March and unloaded on the 31st.When did your truck get to Port Allen?
As my kids used to say, “Not my doey.” I’m just quoting what the manual says. I figure I’ll do like my last break in in 2006 and after the first 500 miles, I pulled my 5th wheel for the first 500 miles on the back roads through towns and what not, staying off of the interstate, never going over 50. Took a couple of weekends, but after that, we left on our normal trips on the interstate and never looked back.
That was 16 years ago, and I’m about to trade that truck in for this order, and I’ll start the process all over again. It’s a pain, but as much money as I spent on this one, I plan on at least another 15 before I do this again.
But as my father always said growing up, “Make plans, just don’t take them too seriously!” and, “That’s all I know, and it ain’t much.”

Time is a precious commodity that gets more precious the older you get. Do the best you can, then get out there and enjoy your retirement and time with those kids before it’s gone! The one thing I do know is the Cummins is a bullet with a titanium coating and very forgiving. She’ll never let you down. The rest will fall in to place!I had this annoying Captain ask me once “Smith, what is a plan?” This guy was annoying, so I did t like to play games with him…”sir, I don’t know what you’re getting at, do you want the definition of a plan or are you going somewhere with this?” “IT’S THE STARTING POINT FOR CHANGE DAMNIT, you can’t control everything” “no sir I can’t, but proper planning prior prevents piss poor performance”
I could make a few loops on the 295 with it at night, just takes time that I don’t have, bur I hear you… you want something to last you gotta treat it right.

That's not too bad of wait. I will probably have to wait til anytime after 4/25 to go get mine because we'll be out of town the week before. I'm fine with that tho. Hopefully I'll have at least a week or more to get a discounted plane tkt.P.A. I reached out to Aaron, he said I’m looking at the middle of next week before they can get my truck to Lake Charles.
I keep thinking about all the undelivered orders placed before mine, about the delivered orders placed after mine, then all the members who have said “it’s worth the wait”. I don’t like to gloat, but I am getting excited.

American stopped allowing free changes for tickets purchased after 3/31/22. Not sure about the others.Don’t airlines let you change travel dates still, as long as the points are used within a year?

How do I go about locating where my new RAM 3500 is?Can anyone help me decipher railcar info from UP. Latest update is “interchange received 3/31 10:33 am, estimated time of arrival industry 3/31 4:15 pm”. This status hasn’t changed since last Thursday. Does this mean my railcar is sitting at its final destination and just needs to be offloaded?
Check with United, I think they are still allowing changes and Houston is their hub. And they fly in to Lafayette and Baton Rouge. Anything I can do to help? I only live 60 miles from Lake Charles in LafayetteDon’t airlines let you change travel dates still, as long as the points are used within a year?

Do you think possibly because of tooling changes or whatever for a possible 2023 model with a new cab could cause a shortage? I am on the cusp of ordering a 2022 truck but if I knew the 2023 model was redesigned I would wait.Anyone heard that Chrysler has told the dealers they can no longer order Wranglers and Heavy Dutys for dealer stock? They now have to be sold orders to be able to place an order. The dealer told me the restriction is because they cannot meet the demand.

If a 2023 had double sun roof, more room in the rear seat area and ventilation of the rear seats like my 1500 Ram does, I would definitely wait.
I actually just posted our 37’ TT toy hauler for sale on that Facebook group. If you buy new early you’ll be fine, just need to shake it down. The market for these is like anything right now, hard to come by…at least that’s what we found…and we’re in FL!
If you end up buying used, look at the pre-COVID years. The 2020+ models have been slapped together and have QA issues. We found this out through multiple Facebook groups (recommend Military RV’ing).
