2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I just looked over my EL again and dealer left off my Clearance Lamps not a dealbreaker but damn!
you can add them yourself, no biggie. I bought my '06 off the lot w/o lights, and ended up buying a kit to do it myself. On the 3rd Gens there is a harness in the passenger column that the single strand plugs into... each truck is pretty much wired for everything off the line. It was a bit nerve-racking taking a hole saw to the roof, but the template made it super easy (make sure you get the template). Measure 27 times then mark holes with a punch and go from there.

I think I paid around $70 for the 3rd gen kit.... here is the 4th gen kit: https://www.moparoriginalparts.com/...MIrazG1JuF9wIVFZXICh0E1QDqEAQYAiABEgIxGPD_BwE

They are just making up numbers to get the price to round off...unreal...and one would think they could figure out how to have that print out vs scribbling through misspelled words like an 8yo
I'm glad I got out of that place when I did. I do miss it, but lord they are bending y'all over out that way

I'm driving out from Florida early next week to pick up my truck from Mark Dodge. May I ask for a recommendation for a safe place to stay if needed?

Safe? I’d stay out of NOLA, but that is too close to Lake Charles to even be an issue. Destin/Pensacola area is usually harmless. Making a trip like this, just get you a nice room at a Marriott with decent security.

anyone heard of rams being shipped on open flatbed transport rail cars. I just tracked my truck via rail on ns and it said departed Alabama at 519pm today on a flat car. googled what the flat car is and it's a flatbed like they would move tanks on. why would a 93k truck be shipped in the open. especially with all the bad weather in that area. hoping my truck arrives in one piece un harmed.

Got the dreaded JS status update from the dealer today. I had an estimated ship date of 04/09, which he said it’s still showing. He wasn’t certain on the JS status though, as he said he’s not personally seen it show up before. Anyone familiar with that can shed some information regarding it?
Whitey got built 3 weeks ago and has been in JS Status since. I checked with Sandi a week ago and with RamChat yesterday. The message from both was the same....waiting on a train ticket. Thanks @desertskier for posting that they're moving new builds by truck to areas that have larger train cars and greater availability. I do think it's a ray-of-hope that someone at Stellantis recognized that there is an issue and is trying something in an effort to find a remedy.

Mine just missed the train that @gator6 , @tyler2you and @P.A. were on. It couldn't have been by much...but I missed it.

While others, like @DelRed22, have waited longer, I'll be over 6 months from order to Port Allen. And then who knows how long it will take to get back to MD.

On a very bright note, I checked with a local fabricator on a new flatbed. They're working a custom design/build/install into their schedule. They asked that I let them know as soon as I get word on when Whitey shows up. I know that won't take in excess of 6 months!

I just want my truck built already. I have a new 41’ 5th-wheel camper being built & should be ready for pickup mid-June. I sold my 3500 Dually & now will have nothing to pickup the camper, if this truck doesn’t get done in-time. :(
3C63RRKL9NG270126 ordered on 2/9. Still holding out hope, both will be ready at the same time. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I know how you feel Snow! That time sitting JS and not knowing what the hold up is while others are shipping is frustrating. Hang in there man.

I think I may have went to D1? I just got an email from my sales guy saying I have a ship date of 5/16. VIN 3C63R3RL1NG237074.

I have been finding estimated ship dates have become more like when they actually build the truck versus when it will actually ship.

Dave, I’m sure in this network of owners someone would be willing to help you out. The previous owners of our rig delivered it to us from MS to Jax, and if by some strange twist our truck won’t be available to move the rig on base in May I’ll ask my friends.

Remember, plans may change but it’s not the end of the world if they do. We adapt and overcome adversity.
