Which dealer did you go through?

Henson in Madisonville, TX. Here is my truck on their site, but they used a SRW pic instead of the DRW.

I think my truck might heading to MD with yalls too. I got an update from Sandi she told my truck was offloaded at the port on 3/23 and that it would take about two weeks to make it to the dealership.
You can ck with @brv10 he may be able to get your railcar number. Mine is Union Pacific PW402094

I wonder why some dealers put customer orders on their site. My guess is to gain interest in case the deal falls through, but not all dealers are doing this.

I was told by one dealer that it was automatically added to the dealer's web sites, but I agree that it makes sense for them to bring traffic. If you notice, there are 34 interested buyers. That could be 34 people doing a search that otherwise may not have come across their site.

I have a DRW, so I’m not expecting it to show up for a couple weeks, especially with all the trucks coming in, SRWs get head of the line. DRWs take up too much space, and these deliveries like to take as many cars as they can.

Apparently it takes them a few days to unload the cars as well. Mine arrived on the 29th at 1232 PM and the status is still "held to unload" when I checked this morning.

My truck was built on 3/14 and got this update from Sandi today. Looks like allot of people will be waiting for train tickets.

There is a massive rail car shortage all across North America and has the system back logged about 3 weeks.
I'm not sure that applies to the Autorack segment. I have seen reports on shortages of other railcar types, but it was a lack of cars to transport goods out of the sea ports at Los Angeles and Long Beach. Given the chip shortages that are driving reduced output at the vehicle plants, I'd be surprised if they are short on Autoracks.

I thought it was interesting that the major railroads don't own a lot of the railcars they use to transport goods. They get a big portion of them from the TTX Company which is a railcar pooling arrangement operated under oversight of the Federal Government.

Mine was the same, I left emails, phone messages and sticky notes and lost a night of sleep over it, it also said it was in stock and it wasnt.

I’m wondering if it has something to do with the individual settings for each dealers website? It seems most CDJR dealers use the same framework. Maybe some of them have it set up to automatically populate all “in-transit” inventory, where others have to manually upload it? My truck was never on my dealers site, however my 2017 did back when I ordered it. (Different dealer than current truck)

The railcars are shared by everybody, Canada, USA and Mexico and are not owned by UP, CSX, etc...

So I tried to reach out to my dealer today for the first time to get an update on status. The response that I got was "nothing yet". Maybe I expect to much but I would expect an email from a dealer to have more than 2 words in the response. It sounds like some of you are working with dealers that are very willing to contact and work with their customers. I guess the wait continues.
That's today's mentality! All the professionalism has been removed from today's business world. It's all about the most money in the least amount of time........

I'm wondering if it's the ram boxes that is holding us up? (I ordered 12/31 with ram boxes) I can't see the spread sheet (work blocks it) maybe someone can look and confirm?

I ordered a 2500 Big Horn with Ram Boxes on 12/19. I contacted RAM CHAT today and they told me it's in the "scheduling phase of the manufacturing process." Pretty vague, but it sounds to me like they haven't built it, don't know when they will build it, but they are thinking about planning to build it. Anyone see any light at the end of the tunnel for me? I'm feeling some serious buyer's remorse coming on.
That sounds like D to me. Contact the dealer and ask for a build code off of your POC. If it is D1, it will show a ship date (which usually is your build date)

OK Members I know some of you also own Jeeps as well. Ordered a Jeep Cherokee L the other day. I was looking for a Jeep Forum much like this forum where Jeep Members helped other Jeep Members with their questions. This RAM Forum was very beneficial in helping me with all my RAM questions. I joined a couple Jeep Forums, but the members don't seem to be interested in discussing Jeep Information..... lol

Does anyone here have insight to a good Jeep Forum where members actually talk about ordering, build process, delivery process, aftermarket part information, etc?

Thanks in Advance!

I have that and it says 1/5 as a ship date however I'm still in D
Is that the one you got when you placed the order? If so, it's a bit old. He's recommending getting an updated one from the dealer. If you ordered 12/31...it would be hard to believe it really said you have a ship date of 1/5.

Professionalism!? That’s probably the second thing I’ll miss about the military.
