Nice! I also enjoy the assembly line videos. I wish they did it for both plants, though. I’m not technically or mechanically inclined AT ALL, so videos like this fascinate me.Cool video behind the scenes at the rail distribution facility. It's amazing that more vehicles don't end up getting damaged. I wonder what the top speed is limited to when the vehicles are in transport mode? Mine is still waiting to be unloaded . . .
Sounds like I’ve been getting the run around from the dealer on this one. Won’t tolerate it, I’m taking home a different truck on Saturday and this order will be cancelled.I see KZOG on the 17th at the truck yard listed as Chrysler test carrier as last status
I would check with ramchat every day until they provide an ETA. Typically once you’re loaded on a railcar for shipping, that’s when they’re able to give you an ETA. Once you get the eta from ramchat, then I’d check with your dealer to confirm the actual status. So I have my window sticker and equipment list. Is it possible to see whether I’ve shipped yet from somewhere? I checked with ram chat, and they said shipping status, but no ETA.
Must be a 3 tier car, get the numbers!
Thanks... that helps.... I have D firm schedule... appreciate the infoNot sure when you ordered, but a VIN is step one of hundredsYour next status should be "D" (Firm schedule: serial number assigned. Firm order. Your order now has a name instead of a number), and then to D1, which is where you will receive your first date. They will tell you its your ship date, but generally everyone has found that is your build date, or pretty close to it. My dealer explained that the D1 ship date is actually the date "shipped" to the production line for the build.
Reach out to RamChat and provide them with the VON and VIN and ask for a build update. They don't have the codes, but when they tell you, "I am showing your vehicle has been scheduled for production. The vehicle should be entering the build process shortly", you are usually D1. Then reach out to the dealer and get a build code update from your POC, and there should be a estimated ship date along with it
What train yard? Mine has been at the Pearland train yard since 3/1.My truck made it to the home train yard. Been waiting for transport for over a week and they are saying it could be 2-4 more weeks. The train yard is literally a 40 drive to my dealer. Waiting sucks because I think of all the damage that could happen… then I keep telling myself that 1000s of vehicles get delivered with nooo problems. Waiting still sucks.
I ordered 1-24 No ran boxes truckers built and ready to ship waiting on Info.Same here, ordered 1-20 and still D. Nothing out of the ordinary on my build except the ram boxes. Looks like there may be several limited models going back to nov that are waiting to be built. I suspect the rambox may be the culprit but have no way of confirming that. Several of the limiteds that have been built recently had the ram box deleted. I tried to order from a somewhat local dealer in mid Jan and they told me the Rambox was unavailable to order. A few days later, I was able to order my truck with them from MD a few days later. Kinda tough to watch especially when I tried to avoid the tech options that I thought would slow my build down.
That should buff out no problem ~
Was that to get on the first train (KZM status) after production? If so, that may just be luck of the draw like everything else seems to be. I got EL on 3/22, window sticker 3/23 and was on the train (KZM status) on 3/28. Maybe I just got really lucky? Doesn’t seem to be much rhyme or reason to it. I have heard that trucker shortages have been causing delays once it’s in its final journey from truck yard to dealer though. My truck was built on 3/14 and got this update from Sandi today. Look like allot of people will be waiting for train tickets.
There is a massive rail car shortage all across North America and has the system back logged about 3 weeks.
Hopefully i get a ride North by next week.
I don't see you on the crowdsourced sheet. What did you order?Orders at Granger Ram 3/9/22
VIN on 3/14/22
D1 status 3/30/22
Says build date 4/27/22
Should arrive at dealership 4 weeks after that.
Sounds like still in D status.I ordered a 2500 Big Horn with Ram Boxes on 12/19. I contacted RAM CHAT today and they told me it's in the "scheduling phase of the manufacturing process." Pretty vague, but it sounds to me like they haven't built it, don't know when they will build it, but they are thinking about planning to build it. Anyone see any light at the end of the tunnel for me? I'm feeling some serious buyer's remorse coming on.
