LED light in tailgate handle

Does the new tailgate jumper harness go all the way to the chassis harness connector, like the arrow is pointing to in the pic, or does it only go to the tailgate/body transition plate?

None of that looks like a 2019-2021 HD ram tailgate plate connector. Is that off of a 1500?

my truck is a 1500 and the parts i took were for a 1500 from a 2022 laramie or lone star this is the tailgate wiring i had and the new one is the same only with the new connector

What is the part number of the new tailgate wiring that you got? Because whatever it is, it won’t work out at all for the HD Ram owners (this is the HD Ram forum, so that would be pretty much most people interested in this).

lol sorry but this is where I started looking for the auxiliary light so I have to move to 1500

Mine finally arrived today, but @Jimmy07 has already discovered the circuit just isn't there for it on pre 2022 trucks. Gonna have to tap it into the reverse lights or the bed lights.

Thanks for posting, I ordered a PW7 paint matched handle about 4 months ago and it finally showed up today. Unfortunately I too discovered it didn't come with the light. I ordered both the tailgate harness and the frame harness, at the same time and I received those two weeks later. I'll need to order that lamp tomorrow. I might just tap into the bed lights if the harness doesn't work out. Did the light come with the mounting screws?
