2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

He mentioned having an attorney, hell even if it’s a buddy not on retainer he could get some advice on legal/not legal. If he was told it was an “unwritten” rule then that is red flag number one for illegal activity.

Gather documents, any emails and texts where the deal was discussed and bring those to small claims court. Request the dealership pay the deposit and court fees. Any judge would have an open-and-shut case if nothing in writing states he gives up his deposit…unless he’s paid off.

Honestly the 1000 isnt worth the blood pressure and anxiety of dealing with legalities. I got my 1000 back just by the rate switch.

I had already google all the ports and found the same altamira site. I got this from my salesman on monday so tried to figure things out 1647619503159.png

IF and that is a big if, my truck was shipped on the 13th there is only one vehicle carrier that left that day from altamira, Patriot(NB204) it stops in PR today and Charleston on the 22nd. Then it would have to be trucked down to Orlando. I could conceivably have my truck in the beginning of april, ordered 12/9.

That ship is going into Brunswick, GA before Charleston. If your in Orlando, I'm betting it would unload in GA.

Odd it wouldn't be unloaded in Jacksonville. There are TONS of RO/ROs that pull in port near our shipyard, we see hotshotters all the time on the road. Then again you don't see a lot of trucks on these trailers.

Logistically would make more sense for Jacksonville to be the port of call and there are regular routes out of Mexico that stop along the major ports on the East Coast - Jacksonville, Charleston, Baltimore, etc... Times are crazy right now and ships are hard to come by, so shippers have to take what they can get to keep product moving. I have a customer in RI that imports 100+ containers a month, most of which came into Boston at one time. Now they can't get container ships to stop in Boston, they all want to come into NY/NJ - adds about 300 miles of trucking.

That makes sense, take what you can get.

so don't know who to believe anymore. ram.cjat says vehicle in scheduling phase should be built soon. called the srt line and guy just told me.trucks been built since Jan 9th and needs outside vendors and awaiting shipping. asked if they had a build sheet yet was told no. made him also read me the whole vin without telling him mine to see if he was just blowing smoke. maybe they are building more trucks than we really know about and they are sitting there waiting in lots for vendors and shipping who knows. he said he looked in dealer connect and searched vin history and found this note that way. funny how yeaterday I was in the scheduled phase and should be built soon. not buying this info unless verified by reputable source
How did you get hold of the SRT line? Thats crazy, I see a bunch of trucks ordered after mine getting built and delivered and I"m still being told by Ramchat, it's in the scheduling phase which is D status

To each their own. The military never paid me enough to leave that kind of money behind.
I agree!!…
MSRP on that truck was $59,015

$59,015 + $1,000 = $60,015 (2% over MSRP)

VS

$59,015 - $6,491 (invoice minus 4%) - $1,000 (deposit) = $51,524 (12.7% under MSRP)

Excluding tax, tags, and other fees
Assuming 2% for 72 financing

$60,015 for 72 @ 2% = $885 / mo.

$51,524 for 72 @ 2% = $760 / mo.
($125 / mo. saved)

Shopping around and getting a reputable dealer can save you $9,000 at the end of the loan. I can do a lot with $9,000.

I’m in no way picking on anyone, just pointing out the importance of running numbers and doing homework before anyone purchases. There are enough dealers out there with good reputations and offering great deals, it pays to shop around.

You're right Matt! Back in October when we were shopping a Laramie for towing the 5er, we were being a bit more frugal with our options because the $2k over MSRP of what the dealer told us they would add here in Jacksonville. Once @beckty85 introduced us to Sandi at Mark Dodge, so much more was opened to us. We had planned on spending around $85k, and that limits you when you aren't privy to these discounts.

what railway route or transport if truck is built in Mexico then delivered to Mark Dodge in Lake Charles, LA?

Still D is correct :(
