For all those flying to Mark Dodge and driving home with 2022 orders

I had about 1/8 tank in mine, but that was after they drove 250+ miles to drop it off to me.

They will deliver up to 250 miles from the dealership for free. I got them to go just a tab bit further and deliver it to me at the Texarkana airport.
I thought about Texarkana. I'd be pumped if they do Shreveport. Would make it an easy day drive rather thank a long day.

Random question - I see a lot of people flying into Houston instead of New Orleans, is it because Houston is closer (50 miles-ish less to Houston) or cheaper (or both) to fly into?
MD will meet you anywhere within a 250 mile radius. I flew into New Oleans Int'l (200 miles away) because it was a non-stop from Seatac. Ron drove 200 miles from MD to pick me up and then drove 200 miles back to MD. It was a great 3 1/2 drive because Ron is a very easy person to be with.

I met them in Shreveport. Agree with the other poster - this made the pick up day a little more bearable - only 7hrs on the road vs 13-14.

Truck had a little over a quarter tank when I met them...which most are opting for the 50 gallon tank so they started with almost a half tank = around 25 gallons or almost what a normal "full tank" would've been. DTE on the truck was 280ish for the first few days sitting on the lot and then it went up to 380 the morning before they left out - guessing they went and put 6-8 more gallons in it

Past delivery MD order folks =>

How much fuel was your truck delivered with?
I had just over a 1/4 tank after they drove it to new Orleans to meet me at my hotel.

New Orleans was closer to home state so I met their. Both huston and new Orleans were cheaper/ shorter flights then flying to Lake Charles directly. At least for me back in December.

Sorry if this is slightly off topic, but has anyone just managed all this remotely and trusted them to ship? How was that experience? Thanks.

I spent two weeks with my truck in the shipping system trying to get a shipper to accept my offer. I started at $1,700 and ended up raising it to $2,500 with no takers. Granted, I needed them to haul my truck up to Washington state from MD. But I got no bites at all and time was slipping away. So I flew down and drove my truck 3,040 miles home at a cost of $1,800 for fuel, motels, and food - and 10 days on the road through God's country visiting some friends along the way. Great experience!

Anybody have Mark Dodge tint their front windows before picking it up? I'd seen other people have their dealer do all kinds of stuff....

Probably bette to have your local shop to do it…MD is now putting their website on the back left corner in red letters…it would probably come off without any heat but it hasnt been above 40 here since I got the truck…I just asked my tint guy to take it off

I had every intention of asking my tint guy to do it but forgot. A straight razor and window cleaner. Took less than 5 minutes.

If staying overnight in Houston while picking up, what hotel or area are you selecting? I'm assuming they will come anywhere as long as it's within the 250 mile range? Can't decide if we should pick up the day we fly in then stay over or arrange pick up the next day then leave. We'll be driving back to Oklahoma. Any info about the area will be appreciated.

If you don’t mind spending money on food, do yourself a favor and find a Perry’s Steakhouse. They make the most AMAZING pork chop in the WORLD!! And get Banana’s Foster for dessert!! Or, I’ve got tons of other recommendations if you’re not up for expensive. I live in Mississippi but travel to Houston often for work.

Good to know! I'm always up for some food!!:D Thanks

When they deliver your truck within the 250 miles, how do they get back?

Two drivers will come out; one in the new truck, one in the return car they'll both hop in to go back. That's a hellofa service MD offers for sure.
Awesome! Ok thanks for clarifying that. I had read somewhere that they took them back and thought I hope we don't have to do that! Yes MD has been amazing to work with. Very thankful for the free delivery. Anxious for the rest of the process!! Just in D1 status last week.:p

Congrats! Did you add your truck details to crowdsource tracking sheet? If not, do it ---- it's a great way to see how the build system works and to following your own build. See the link below for that.
