2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

You are being too generous. While that could explain some things, There is absolutely no rhyme or reason why the May-August orders are not all built and delivered world
I would venture to guess that it ties back to parts shortages. They probably didn't get what they thought they would of certain parts before production started and can't build the truck as ordered. You would think there would be an active communication process of some sort to move those trucks to other configurations to get built though.

I’ve been off the forum for a couple of weeks since I received my truck. I’m in love with it and so is my father and he is planning on ordering one but we can’t get a straight answer on the mirrors does anyone know if ram is offering folding mirrors anymore?

My Laramie Night Edition has power folding mirrors (my build equipment list) => https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=3C63RRJL2NG240466

On Laramie they come with "Laramie Level A Equipment Group" and "Laramie Level B Equipment Group"

my sales guy said that they didn’t come on anything anymore but I thought he may have been wrong
I think your sales person is misinformed as to all models and maybe not current on Laramie. Suggest you try the RAM build site.
They were not available on lower trims for a while - as I recall Level A and B pkg became Level C and D due to shortages but I had Longhorn, so I did not really follow Laramie or BigHorn trim pkg.
I thought the Level A & B options had been brought back on the Laramie - still show as available on Longhorn and Limited - never not available on higher trims as far as I can tell.
If the software lets you build with that option, they should be there - just make sure they are Power folding mirrors not Power mirrors

Keep in mind the packages for all Trim Levels are changing constantly. The first 2022 Big Horns didn't have the Power Folding Mirrors, but had the power Tail Gate Release on the Key Fob. A while later you could order a Big Horn with Power Folding Mirrors, but a month or two later that option was once again removed from the Big Horn option however, you could still get Power Folding Mirrors on the Laramie and up models. The Power Release Tailgate on the Big Horn was removed also somewhere down the line because I didn't get either. They also deleted one of the foam drink holders on the passenger side LOL a simple little $12 item.

If you want all the bells and whistles, just as well spend $100K and get the Limited. Chip shortages start at the Tradesman and progress up the line until the chips are no longer available and then progress on the line slows down........... or they await new parts shipments.

@Levi200220022 When I ordered the new Whitey, I really wanted a Laramie but ended up going with a Longhorn as the power folding mirrors were available on it and not the Laramie. Your salesperson should be able to shed some accurate light on availability. As many have mentioned here, it sounds like availability is subject to change, and has often changed, based on conditions at time of ordering. It seems implausible that they are unavailable on any trim. Any time I've heard an absolute no from anyone, it's caused me to seek a second opinion. In my case it led me to another dealership as the answers I received made much more sense.
Glad to hear you're enjoying your new ride and good luck to your dad!

I just looked at the Laramie Build program and it looks like Laramie Level A and B pkg both have the Power Folding Mirrors but not the Night Edition - I thought they were incl in Night Edition. In either case, your Salesman should be able to pull up details of what is included in various packages - ask him/her for a printout of whats in each package and then decide.

Hey
Ordered my 2022 last Friday as well
see you ordered Orlando region. If you don’t mind me asking what did you pay for the build? I’m in Lake County and tried all the local dealers and nobody is under 80k except a dealer in MO which I’m probably going to go with them if I don’t find anything local.

You mention finding something local - In my experience if its on the lot its MSRP or above. Only way to deal is to order what you want and wait 12-16 weeks - well worth the wait in my opinion to get exactly what I wanted with no hassle - may be 10 weeks or may be 20 weeks+, but mine was 10 weeks 2 days from order to delivery.
If you are in Orlando, FL or close by, you might consider Mark Dodge in Lake Charles, La (scroll thru past posts for more info and other dealers with similar pricing) - probably closest dealer to you that is really aggressive pricing and highly rated for customer service - depending on exactly where you are it might be a nice 1 day drive if you dont hit fog in Mobile area.
Another slightly closer option might be Bergeron CDJR in Metairie (New Orleans) - thats where I bought - could have beat their price by about $2k at Mark Dodge if I had known about them, but Bergeron still honored my Affiliate Pricing and was good to deal with.
Or get a quote from Mark Dodge and take it to your local dealer to see if they will deal - probably not, but worth a try if you really want to stay local.

@jayh231 I’m close to Orlando and I ordered from Lakeland dodge. I used tread lightly, and my price was comparable to Mark Dodge, and I was very happy with the experience.

I made a post a week or so ago with my contacts info, Mike Peralta. It was perfect for me as I did not want to drive or ship to me from MD.

You have to get level A or B to get the night edition. So you should get your power folding mirrors. Unless they are back to level C and D. My laramie level A night edition is being built right now. So I should find out pretty soon.

MD seems to lowball on trade value, so in lieu of trading in how have y’all been selling your current rides? Autotrader, carmax, carvana, other? Any one place consistently offering higher / being more successful than the others?

Decided to swing by the local dealer today to see what they had on the lot in the way of HD trucks. Not a single new 2500/3500 on the lot, but they did have this lightly used 2022 NE Laramie with the Cummins. Looks like it was originally sold at the end of December 2021 and traded in at the end of Jan 2022 with only 2400 miles. Nice looking truck, but that price . . . maybe someone will pay it, but I'll keep waiting on my order.
