2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

I thought maybe it was the HO that was the hold-up on some of the older orders that don't seem to be moving, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I count 19 Limited or LL, SRW, HO trucks with sequence numbers earlier than yours on the spreadsheet that are still waiting on equipment lists. Just another example of Ram's apparently random approach to selecting which trucks get built first.
Seems totally random. There were almost identical trucks to mine ordered a month or two later getting built before mine. I really think it is based on where the trucks will be shipped. Makes sense. Build them according to what rail car they will go on which keeps the flow from production to the rail cars instead of parking them, gathering them up and loading them. Probably why the shipping zone is in the build sheet. I really think ordering from a high volume dealer like Mark Dodge, HW Hunter, etc will mean you will get your truck a bit faster.

I am testing your theory. I canceled my order from 11/17/21 with the locals and ordered 2/3/22 with MD at substantial savings. Hope you are correct.

Yeah, maybe I'm just one of the unlucky ones. I'm at 16 weeks for an Oct Mark Dodge order. Two nearly identical trucks ordered in Nov and Dec have been built ahead of me.

On a positive note, there's only 1 LL, SRW, HO ordered before me that hasn't been built on the sheet. Hopefully @ElkRam and I will be cruising down the line shortly . . . Should test your theory as his is going to California.

While it seems random to us, I'm sure the build sequence is based on all of these factors and probably some others we haven't thought about... supply chain parts availability, shipping, a balance of supply across the country etc.

I'm starting to think that maybe the DRW is a hold-up somewhere as well, except that some have been built after mine even with the same specs. :(

Yes, the build sheet/equipment list comes out once the build is completed.

Cool, guess I just need to make sure my email is with the right people. Went D1 on 1/31, was estimated 3/3 for shipping from Sandi, so I’m guessing that’s what I should be looking for next.

3500 Limited HO SRW LB. Ordered 8/21, Window sticker 1/23. Arrived at dealer 2/8. Took delivery 2/10. Only sat in the local rail yard for a day. HW Hunter RAM in Lancaster, CA. Honored FCA affiliate pricing quoted 6 months ago. Resulted in a $11.5k discount since prices went up since then. They were great to work with. Apparently they are the biggest Ram dealer in the US. They recently built a dedicated Ram store, which I did not know about. I showed up to their original location when I took delivery and only saw Jeeps and Dodges, New Ram store is nice. I noticed they had a nice Ram merch shop. I meant to go take a look but was so focused on the new truck, I forgot, LOL.

Gotta get the Nitto RG’s installed this weekend since the local dealer will give me an extra $900 for my old 2500 if I give them the Firestones from the new 3500.
Nice looking ride!

You are being too generous. While that could explain some things, There is absolutely no rhyme or reason why the May-August orders are not all built and delivered.

While the week started great with my build sheet popping up, and then the window sticker after a three month wait. Then I noticed a mistake in that the dealer mistakenly ordered a bench front seat instead of buckets. Compound that with my intended trade Ram 1500 being totaled yesterday morning in a rollover. Now I have no vehicle, and the dealer hasn’t figured out how to fix their mistake.

Picked up Tuesday night. Dealership dropped the ball hard but I got her home that’s all that counts. 150 miles so far and love the truck. Now off to other threads to do some research on rust preventative and paint protection. Thanks everyone here.

Just talked to the dealer, truck is still sitting at rail yard 20 miles from dealership. Could arrive anytime after monday. We will see. o_O
Which Dealership. Mine has been sitting at the rail yard 20 miles from the dealership since Monday.

Great looking truck!! I too live with too much winter and have the need for rust preventative. I've tried about everything from Ziebart to Fluid Film and Wool Wax. Ziebart is too expensive for what it was and they never did it with as much detail as I would have liked. Fluid Film maybe lasted a year. Wool wax lasted the longest on my last truck (only after I learned the trick to drive it down the dirt roads and get a coat of dust on it right after you spray) but what a mess as it stays pliable and you end up wearing it if you touch anything under the truck and I finally had a guy tell me about "RP-342". Can get black or kind of a transparent-ish clear. Stuff is great, won't come off without solvent and basically looks like you coated the frame and underneath with wax. I have it on my Wrangler and my wife's JGC Summit. Already have it sitting in the garage to do my new Power Wagon when I finally pick it up. https://www.cosmolinedirect.com/cosmoline-sprays/ Thought I'd share.

For those MD orders that have received trucks, how long have y’all been waiting from being built to being delivered to the dealer? Would think since it’s a southern dealer it wouldn’t take so long to get through the shipping process.

I just heard back on mine. I received the window sticker on 1/31 so it looks like it sat for about a week at the plant before tripping North. Tentative delivery to Port Allen on 2/17 with up to 2 weeks for Mark Dodge delivery. I'm optimistic that anyone headed that way, and waiting on a train with a window sticker prior to 2/8, hitched a ride.
