2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

So as we all know ram chat is a joke by now. I wanted to see what they would say today. Got this new update they are telling people now lol. My 8 week 1st order laramie is sitting gathering parts still and my dec reorder to get tow tech group is in same stage. Reordering a laramie is no faster for those of you with lots of options. I thought it was funny when I asked them about build times since I'm deploying this year and if it won't be done before I'll have to cancel. there response was we will escalate it and you should hear back in 2 days via email. curious to see what they say if they even respond about delays .

A Laramie with lots of options does seem to be a problem.

Wherever El Mirage vehicle facility is. And you went through El Paso
If I recall Northwestern Phoenix, AZ metro area. I believe the town is also called El Mirage. Our transporters use to pickup vehicles from there for delivery in the southern AZ area.

I think you either need to wait or reorder another Ram. A GM diesel can't hold a candle to a Cummins. Assuming you ordered a truck with a diesel. Also I haven't owned a GM product since 1990 because of what I think is an inferior interior quality. Just my 2 cents worth.
I went down and the truck sold, I did order the 6.7 HO. I can tell you the GM is much faster stock to stock. Pulling power Cummins wins which is what I'm after. I can say if that truck didn't sell I would have canceled and went with it today to be done with the process.

Well for grins I called Ram Crap, (they really are nice people on the phone) and the lady told me the dealer ETA is 1/11-1/24! At this point I appreciate that info. I’m not banking on it of course but it gives me an idea.
Im going to list my existing truck in a couple days and do my financing in a couple weeks.

So my Laramie on order is in my sig. I don't consider it decked out because I do NOT have sun roof, BSM, lane keep assist, adaptive steering or adaptive cruise control, no 5th wheel prep or tow tech group or surround view cameras. none of any of that.

Would mine still be considered "decked out" being that I got night edition, 8.4" nav screen, power running boards, tow mode camera with digital rear view mirror and cargo camera as well, plus aux switches, bed lighting and clearance lamps?

Only issue I’m having with my decked out Laramie is getting it out of the train yard to my dealer 60-70 miles from there.
You're still doing better than most that ordered a Laramie. The first one that ordered was a Laramie with most options and is still in "D" status. It was ordered on 9-11. My Limited is halfway to the rail depot in Orlando. I'm glad I changed the order to get the other options that I wanted that were standard on the Limited and not options.

No real idea why no ETA - but I might speculate ETAs are assigned automatically by system that assigns train positions and if yours is coming by truck across the birder it might not get ETA the same way - but just FYI, my ETAs never meant much until it was in transit on train and even then they shifted every time I had someone check.
Vehicle trains are all full of people headed to the states. No room for trucks.

ACEd is probably correct, but does anybody know 100% if this is the case? Would my dealer have any pull with dispatch regarding which trucks go on the transport? I know the ETAs don’t mean much, but at least it’s a sign things are moving!

I posted a map and a photo of the facility on page 1105, post 22100.

Love the nick name and it fits. ;)

Because the times they quote for shipping surprisingly are usually longer than what it really takes, and the closer it gets to its destination the easier the prediction is, till it gets to the yard or a boat.

Right now mine has moved up three days but as you say leaving the yard is another story. I'm four hours south from the Orlando yard.

Is yours sitting at Barnes Yard in Portland? Mine has supposedly been there for a week. Salesman initially said it would be about a week for it to hit the lot. Now they told me a little bit of snow has delayed it (roads are clear) and they have no idea when it will get to the lot. I’d go get it myself if they’d let me. The yard is only 20 minutes from the dealer. Frustrating.
My PW is also supposedly at Barnes Yard since 12/21. I found a load number through the trucking company and they stated FCA put a hold on the order...incredibly annoyed at this point. It has only been on order since 9/15...

That’s irritating. No idea what the hold is for?
