2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Yep I’m 176182 seeing same thing that’s why I’m not passing up a truck that is close to my order I found at a dealer and by the chart it was ordered maybe 2 days before mine

And no reason given at all for delays…. My truck is built and sitting in storage at the factory for the last month. Dealer doesn’t care to give me real info, just complains that Ram typically does this…. Funny! They didn’t do it on the trucks he stands to make 30k on! I’m gonna wait it out now just for spite!

If mine was built I’d wait it out but no end in site and dealer just keeps saying well guys been waiting 10 months for Chevy trucks and not built!!! Well I didn’t order a Chevy I ordered a ram told 5 with sunroof and 4 without well not happening. Thanks ram rep for telling dealer bad info on time lines

I’m a 180 vin with 5th wheel prep. Not a loaded truck, just a tradesman with some modest upgrades. Ordered 10/2 and is built and shipped and should be in Salt Lake waiting on truck to haul to Idaho. Not sure how that helps just thought I’d throw it out there again.

I ordered 10/1, but it is not the timeline that bothers me, it’s the furtive answers coming from my dealer and Ram. You’d think that if there was a quality control problem like a run in paint or dent, the dealer could see that in the system and tell the customer. Ram could fix the problem and move on. My window sticker has been available since 12/8, my understanding is that only happens once a truck is complete and I’m guessing that that only happens once it passes QC. The whole thing just smells a little fishy to me!

build and my loaded Laramie has been sitting in Portland,Or rail yard for at least 10 days. My dealer estimated delivery was 12/23-1/3 so I’ll see if it shows up tomorrow. Hope to at least see it this week. It’s only about 60 miles to dealer.

I’ve been frustrated up until now. Now I’m just plain mad!!! My truck is a 179 VIN and I’m just seeing that my dealer has taken delivery of two stock HDs recently that are 183 and 195. One is close to my specs and the other has a 5th wheel prep package (supposed to be a hangup in the supply chain). And they have both units priced 10k over sticker. I’m starting to think that some of the problems that members are having are on the dealer end. I have no doubt that they can have trucks delayed so we’ll lose interest and they can sell them to someone else for the markup in this crazy market! My guy initially told me he needed a deposit and then retracted it. Given the fact that sold orders are supposed to take priority, the fact that we’re seeing delays when their stock units are showing up without problems sure seems suspicious.

Anyone canceled an order and had it show up to be sold to someone else?
We all feel your pain. I'm a 102 vin ordered 5-17 and my truck sits in a yard somewhere. I'm 2 weeks shy of 8 months. There are folks out there waiting longer than me. You bring up some good points and I also have been up and down the emotional measuring stick. I'm waiting until it arrives and then I expect the dealer to make it right in the price. If he doesn't, I can walk away and only hurt myself, or bite the bullet and buy it. They have us by the family jewels.

while you are all asking about power fold mirrors. when they brought the Laramie b package back in December didn't that give you power folding tow mirrors. I would assume since the brought back Laramie b it should have them otherwise it should have been renamed like they did from b to c and d package. Also if its not in that group if you got the tow tech group b that was brought back in December wouldn't that give you the power folding tow mirrors since it gave you the surround view cameras etc. I only assume maybe one of our knowledgeable ram members here will know the scoop to this as well.
My build sheet says manual fold when I ordered min back in October C and D was all that was avail. on the Laramie.

I think I would have canceled and reordered if it would have been me. My truck was ordered 9-14 and has been built and shipped. It is now half way to its destination. I expect to have it by the end of the month. It really puzzles me why they are doing the early orders the way they are doing them.

I can certainly understand your frustration. If it makes you feel any better, I had a truck ordered for my brother that sat in-transit for 45 days. I ended up selling him a different truck because the one we ordered is still sitting there in-transit. Between labor shortages and lack of good communication, unfortunately this stuff does happen.

For sure dealers do not get to see the QC audit paper work, that’s kept for internal use only. All the dealer would know is that it is held by quality.

Just helps knowing my truck is skipped and no movement 9/20 order

I'm a 9-8 order, skipped and tossed aside as well.

What did you order and what options?
I ordered a 3500 laramie with all the unicorns. But BSM wasn't available so that was the only thing I didn't click. However I have watched dealer trucks with everything I ordered after I ordered be shipped in. Should have went longhorn and would have already had it by now.

Yes, mine is stuck in that same Portland rail yard - aka the Pit of Despair.

On the positive side my splash guards for the new truck arrived, so I now have those to stare at.

One more question. Any way the window sticker can be available if the truck is waiting on accessories? Or does it have to be totally complete before the window sticker is issued?

I'm also a 10/2 order from MD, limited pretty well loaded w/o 5th wheel prep or HO but with sunroof. Still gathering parts. Obviously there are holdup on parts issues but it doesn't seem like there is any rhyme or reason to decipher based on looking at the spreadsheets and builds. We've seen 5th wheel, sunroof, all of it either come quickly or come late. Only thing you can do is be patient. For those that rely and need the truck by a certain date my condolences. Otherwise I think there are too many variables that even the spreadsheet and all the work on this forum can't get to the bottom of. I don't think there is anyone pulling strings good or bad. Just the luck of the draw. Patience is key unless the calendar doesn't allow.
