You bring up an interesting point. After ordering in July, I started reading the rumors of a new body style change for 2023. Furthermore, it is rumored that Ram will finally, "get with the times" and may use a 10 speed Allison or possibly a competitive Aisin transmission. This had me really disappointed knowing that my 2022 will no longer be the new cool body style after only owning it for a year or less. Also, there may be a new and improved transmission that may make my 6 speed less desirable for resale. The new transmission would improve fuel economy over a 6 speed. Well all those concerns were pretty well put to rest after hearing some guys at work bashing our F550s with 10 speeds. They say with so many gears, you never really get any real RPMs out of them and the trucks are gutless. That trying to meet the latest EPA requirements with a 10 speed makes these new trucks kinda suck. Maybe we'll all be better off without the "new and improved". (Yes yes, we aware that one could lock out the transmission so it's limited to the lower gears but they still didn't like the way these 550s performed). I've been very happy with my Aisin transmissions but do wish for lower RPMs at highway speed with the 4.10s
