2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Anyone have thoughts, on what time of month. Ram releases the new incentives ? Always heard never anything the first week of each Month. So wondering if I might be better off. Holding out until the Second week of Dec. To go pick mine up? That is also even if its made it there by then. Feel Thanksgiving is going to make everyone's delivery 5 to 7 days longer.

I feel offended that Thanksgiving would slow the delivery. I was hoping I could drive it to the in-laws so they could complain how often I purchase vehicles instead of watching how many times I refill my plate

I got the call from Aaron at Mark Dodge today. I'll be picking it up just after Thanksgiving at the New Orleans airport.

if there are any it should be known the first monday of the month. But HD trucks rarely get incentives anyway, so for there to be some right now would be stupid. Also, they usually have really good black friday incentives and i didnt see any this month when i picked my truck up.

I'm a close it on the seal guy. I have the low pro but i think the x15 is just different material. My bro-in-law loves perfection and is just sick watching me close it on the seal. I started doing it the "correct" way but i get in and out of the back all the time and could never get the latch to consistently catch when closing the cover. Seems the rails had too much give up near the latch mechanism no matter where or how i adjusted the bolts. I finally said screw it. Not worth the hassle to worry about the extra little water that gets in there.
The dealer originally had quoted me for the Lo Pro and was like $60 cheaper than the X15. My sister bought the X15 for her husband (my bro-in-law) and I really liked it so that's why I decided to get this one instead of the Lo Pro. Dealer also installed it for me and this is how they showed me to work it and it works perfectly. I am in no way disrespecting how someone else closes theirs and cares for theirs. Cheers!

Called Ram chat today. My 6/26 order could not be found, so she said. Last word I got was it was to be built the week of 11/22.
What a cluster. Just want this truck by Christmas at this rate. Mark Dodge order.

I'm sure mine was user install error (me). I test drove a used Mega Cab that had the x15 and I'd get that next if I go that route but trying to decide if I'm willing to forgo the bed space and put in the Retrax Pro XR.

Ya, and with having a SB I didn't want to loose anymore bed space so that was another factor in deciding the TruXedo. Although, that design was actually one of my first original choices as well.

Just curious if you live in Tennessee as to why you ordered from Navarre in Sulfur rather than Mark Dodge in Lake Charles. Roughly same distance from Tn. Granted I almost bought from Navarre and they seemed like a good place to buy, but how did you find them when everyone else buying remotely seems to be talking about Mark Dodge?
Lol.. I was actually working in sulpher.. I started working at a refinery there in June.. I ordered it thinking for sure it would be in before the job was complete.. I was wrong.. I finished that project a week ago.. I normally do a lot of work working a couple hundred miles of there so it will be easy to get when it does show up, they did tell me that they would deliver it to me if I ended up on a job far away..

I didn’t order from
Mark because honestly I had never heard of them until I came across this forum.. lessen learned.. I will next time.. Navarre hasn’t been bad at all, and seem to be fairish as far as pricing and trade in value. ... but they kinda suck in the communication department.:

That happens sometimes. Bug MD once every 2-4 weeks :)

Congrats! I think the 2022’s are going to be the pinnacle, certainly this 4.5 gen will be. I think the gen 5 will have perhaps a bit more room etc but the powertrains will not be the same. The diesel as we know it is short lived.
You bring up an interesting point. After ordering in July, I started reading the rumors of a new body style change for 2023. Furthermore, it is rumored that Ram will finally, "get with the times" and may use a 10 speed Allison or possibly a competitive Aisin transmission. This had me really disappointed knowing that my 2022 will no longer be the new cool body style after only owning it for a year or less. Also, there may be a new and improved transmission that may make my 6 speed less desirable for resale. The new transmission would improve fuel economy over a 6 speed. Well all those concerns were pretty well put to rest after hearing some guys at work bashing our F550s with 10 speeds. They say with so many gears, you never really get any real RPMs out of them and the trucks are gutless. That trying to meet the latest EPA requirements with a 10 speed makes these new trucks kinda suck. Maybe we'll all be better off without the "new and improved". (Yes yes, we aware that one could lock out the transmission so it's limited to the lower gears but they still didn't like the way these 550s performed). I've been very happy with my Aisin transmissions but do wish for lower RPMs at highway speed with the 4.10s

Heard same rumors - big changes - new cab & trans for 2021. New Allison 10sp for 2022 for sure. More likely next change will be more ecofriendly or maybe MADD compliant in 2026 both of which will make the last good trucks more valuable. Same reason a 1968-70 Charger is worth more than a more smogged 71 and things got worse every year after that for many years

what are the differences between Lo Pro and X15??

I almost bought a 2500 off their lot and they were willing to discount even week after Hurricane Ida - ended up ordering a 3500 closer to home - also had never heard of Mark Dodge before this Forum.
