Could someone follow my logic and advise whether or not there are shenanigans afoot? Here’s the deal:
I’m scheduled to pick up my 2022 2500 Tradesman tomorrow from the dealer, and the tradesman has the snow chief package. The finance person, however, asked me if the truck would be used for personal or work.
When I asked him why it mattered, he said if it’s used for work, then my powertrain may not have the 5/60 warranty.
I asked him if it made a difference if I wasn’t getting an INCOME from it - but that it WOULD be used for plowing.
He said that having a plow probably qualifies as it being a “work” truck.
So… I pointed out that it didn’t make much sense to have the truck equipped FROM THE FACTORY with the snow chief package if I WASN’T going to be using it to plow… so it wouldn’t make sense for FCA to offer the 5/60 on ANY truck that had that package.
He simply said, “…good question. I’ll try to find that out.”
Any thoughts??
