2022 Ram HD Builds and orders - Post and discuss your TRUCK order here! ** NEW USERS READ POST #1 **

Im really enjoying not making any payments right now however Im dropping more than payments into my old rig.
I just wish that someone would just tell me......hey, it's is going to be X date before it is done instead of telling me it is going to ship on 8/10 and then telling me it is ready to be built and now the parts are being scheduled.
Like I told the chat person, honesty goes a long way.
I really dont mind waiting but it wont take me long to move on with the constant changes in what is going on.

Anyone who ordered a Mega Cab get a D1 status or confirmation on a build date?
I checked with my dealer last week and my Megacab is still in D1 status, build date of 8.11. That date has come and gone of course. She was going to check with the regional manager. I'll bug her about it tomorrow.

Got this from RAM chat today,

I can see all the required materials for your order have been gathered and the plant has sequenced your order for production, it should be entering the build very soon! I recommend checking back in the next week or so and we would be happy to check on your order.

Glad I finely got a different status, but like most here it could change tomorrow. Ordered 7/6 but looks by Vin they did not get it into the system until 7/12

2022 Ram 3500, Cummins, Pearl White, Mountain Brown Buckets, Chrome package, 50 Gallon, 5th wheel prep, Trailer tire pressure monitor, Safety Group B, 12" screen Uconnect 5, Level A, Power Sunroof, Blind spot and cross path detection, Auto Level, Bed Group, Towing Technology Group B.

I honestly get a kick out of this thread. I don't mean this disrespectful but I find it hilarious how many of you check in with ram chat or your dealers on a daily basis. I feel for Sandi and your dealers as they are constantly having to enter VINS and check on your trucks status. I know many of you ordered back in May and it sucks Ram delayed the 22 production from July to August but they just started producing the trucks a couple of weeks ago. Our trucks are in production and they are knocking them out. To those of you threatening to walk away from your truck you are making a huge mistake. I assure you the dealer doesnt care because they will find a buyer for it who will more than likely pay more than you were going to. Ford and GM are both in the same boat and you will be waiting even longer for your truck to be built. Bottom line is our trucks are rolling off the assembly line and im willing to bet all of the early orders will be in build status within 2 weeks. Be patient boys there is a light at the end of the tunnel...............lets see if its daylight or a TRAIN :)!

This thread is beginning to get a little tense lol. I think a lot of us have our expectations set too high because we see other manufacturers churning out 22's, have vehicle tracking portals or even have their configurator updated. Ram has always been behind other manufacturers in getting their latest model year on the road, typically by 2 to 4 months (looking at you Ford), and the shortages certainly aren't helping this year.

If you haven't placed an order by this point or even made it to D1 realistically you shouldn't expect to take delivery before Thanksgiving. If you do take delivery before then, great! But there's too much champing at the bit going on and this thread is beginning to slide. I've ordered 3 trucks thru Ram in the past 5 years and this is par for the course. Dealer tells me 6-8 weeks and I take delivery 12-14 weeks after that.

Ram Chat is notoriously garbage and the only thing they're good for is getting your VIN from a VON. Any dates they give you or order statuses are incorrect 90% of the time. I took delivery of a my last 1500 and for giggles asked RamChat what the status was and they told me it was still in production.

For now just enjoy the ride, check to see if your build sheet populates, and help point the newbies to reputable dealers and information sources.

Seems like Alaska has bunch of 22's being shipped there, actually about 500 miles from me and 1900 plus from me there seems to be quite a few.

Oh Brother... Do we really need to see your entire transcript of your Ram Chat session - including the time stamps of your "how are you... fine, and yourself" details listed down to the second???

How about summarizing and getting to the point on these chats so that this thread doesn't hit 5 or 600 pages... And because of "canned responses", if your chat is substantially the same as the Ram Chat on a previous page, maybe we don't need your entry also...

Does anyone know if you can still add power folding mirrors to a 3500 big horn? I see in the post above that it is not included in the level C however, can this still be added as an individual add on? Thanks.

If the folding mirrors can be added someone here has done it,sad they are not in Level C group.

I agree! They are one of my priorities as its a pain to manually fold them up each time I pull in the garage. I am hoping I can still add them somehow to my order. My dealer has not said anything about them not being on my order yet however, I want to have a backup plan if he comes back and says they will not be included as it looks like is the case with level C.

My buddy whose a gm at one of the biggest Chevy dealers in the country said he’s cancelling customer orders because gm is shutting plants back down due to chips. So Atleast we aren’t at that point ….yet
Yet….??? I think we are closer.

A lot of us are just as frustrated (especially those of us who placed an order before you and still have no updates!). Not to make any excuses for RAM, but these times are definitely not normal and I honestly feel sorry for any manufacturer of anything right now! I am trying to get a pool built currently at home, and there is a shortage of pool equipment / electronics. Basically, I can have a hole in the ground right now, but cant have any water in it! Sucks. At least we arent making payments on our trucks until they are delivered!
What state are you in? If AZ shoot me a PM

Well for what its worth, my journey towards a '22 MC, Patriot Blue, 4x4, Limited started:

27 Aug 2021 - BA - Order placed at Dealer
31 Aug 2021 - BX - Good order available for scheduling

New to the forum and possibly new to Ram. I'm extremely limited with the amount of Ram dealers locally in Alaska, any recommendations for what dealer to use when submitting a truck order in AK? Appreciate any help.
