Just talked to my dealer. My 2500 Limited, all options except a sunroof, went to D1 Status with an estimated build date of 9/8. Looks like there is movement.

Just sent a Big Horn 3500 build with the Safety Group over to Sandi for a price. She says as of last week all the safety and trailer tech package options have been dropped for new orders on trims below Laramie due to the chip shortages.... so now I've got to decide if I'm going to strip it down to a basic Tradesman or pony up on a Laramie..... decisions decisions.... on the bright side maybe that'll cause your builds to go faster....
I am kinda confused about your post. I ordered a longhorn mega cab. Does that mean the Chios they were going to put into the lower end models will now be used in the higher end models first?
 
I had the same guy look mine up too and mine is scheduled to build on 10/11. Wonder what the "schedule month" and the line below it means???
If you are in D status, how can they give you an estimated build date? Who do I need to talk to to get an estimated date on mine? I don't think my dealer would know how.
 
My dealer reached out to me a said my truck was to be in Baltimore on August 20th, but hasn’t arrived yet. I reached out to Ram chat and this was their response. I posted my window sticker previously. I guess it’s a safe bet I’ll have my truck in a month give it take a little bit.

I called Ram chat and they gave me a est. on shipping date
Yea I have a 9/8 ship date . It kinda sounds like a copy and paste response though . We’ll see next week. If that’s the case I assume we should be seeing equipment listing/window stickers in the next week but doubt it
 
I ordered Laramie with level 1 options. Next day I asked sales to add the power steps to the orders and sales didn’t tell us it can’t be done. They requested Stellantis add the steps to the order and we aren’t sure if they will add them because we already had VINs.
After researching and trying to build on costcoauto I realized that they can’t be built with level 1 Laramie.
How will Stellantis proceed? Change my Laramie to level 2 and add the steps or reject the request to add steps and leave the truck as ordered with level 1 Laramie group?

I ordered a 2500 Laramie level 2 with 8 inch screen. I just ask last week if they can change my order to a 12 inch screen. I was told no once the vehicle is ordered that's it.

Your change could have been done but to me it seems like your dealer didn’t want to submit the request to Stellantis.
Mine didn’t go through because my option required a higher level Laramie options (ordered level 1, needs level 2 for power steps) and they denied the request.

Sometimes I think once you order your truck the dealership doesn't care any more.
 
Just checked with my dealer. Still in D on sequence L3NG122561 - 3500 Limited CC LB DRV ordered 07/21.
 
Im starting to get a little frustrated............
Ordered mine of 6/15/21
Dealer reached out to me on 7/27/21 and said the anticipated ship date was 8/10/21 and they should take delivery 4 weeks after that.
I saw this thread and went and chatted with Ram 2 wks ago. They said that the parts were ready and it was about to be built.
I chatted today for an update and

The approximate manufacturing time-frame for a new vehicle order is 9-12 weeks starting from the date of order to dealer delivery.

Just frustrating............My 2011 is falling apart and Im tired of dropping more $ into it. I was really hoping for delivery within the next cpl weeks.
A lot of us are just as frustrated (especially those of us who placed an order before you and still have no updates!). Not to make any excuses for RAM, but these times are definitely not normal and I honestly feel sorry for any manufacturer of anything right now! I am trying to get a pool built currently at home, and there is a shortage of pool equipment / electronics. Basically, I can have a hole in the ground right now, but cant have any water in it! Sucks. At least we arent making payments on our trucks until they are delivered!

These are crazy times, but I see a lot of the problems as incompetence and poor customer service. ~4 months after Ram stopped accepting orders for 21’s you still can’t get on line and configure or see the newest packages. I placed my original order for a 21 on 4/20, on 5/10 I was told Ram kicked the order out and I needed to order a 22. Placed the order on 5/20 for a 22. Was told production would start early July. The order is a pretty simple BH with no tech packages. Spoke with the dealer last week and there has been no movement on the truck. Told him if there is no movement in the next 2 weeks I would be moving on to something else.
