CAUGHT: 2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Laramie Longhorn Mega Cab:

Pre-Production Models Are Now Being Seen Outside Of Auburn Hills...

In the past couple of weeks, we have been breaking down the various trims of the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty our spy photographers have been catching with no camouflage on them around the Chrysler World Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. But it seems that now, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has put the hands in some highers ups at FCA, to do some fast feedback testing before the vehicles start production in just a couple of weeks.

Our friend Patrick Awdish,  was shopping this past week at a local Costco in suburban Detroit when he spotted an uncamouflaged 2019 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty Laramie Longhorn Mega Cab model. While most the pictures we have been showing you are at taken at low angles, Patrick happened to get only a few feet from the truck and capturing some well detailed pictures of the Laramie Longhorn’s new face.

We can also get a good look at that new front bumper, which now houses the fog lamps and the front parking sensors in the fog light openings. Just like on the Ram 1500 models, the Heavy Duty will keep the Tradesman’s grille pattern on all trim levels in the bumper.

We do know, that these pre-production units are the not the complete product. They are still messing a lot of their badging, including tailgate “4×4” badges as well as the “RAM” badging on the front doors.

Production units will start only a couple days before the truck makes it’s official debut at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, next month.  The press conference will be held on Monday, January 14th, 2019 at 9:10am and we will be covering the event live from the floor in Detroit.
