RAM Renaming Its Ram Heavy Duty Laramie Longhorn For 2021:
New Model Name Will Reflect Its Luxury Heritage...
Following in the footsteps of its half-ton sibling the Ram 1500, the 2021 Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty Longhorn will changing its “Laramie Longhorn” branding for the new model year. Instead, RAM is dropping the Laramie part of the Laramie Longhorn name and replacing it with Limited – creating the new “Limited Longhorn” name.
While the luxurious Limited trim still sits on top of the Ram Heavy Duty lineup, it shares a lot of its premium equipment with the Limited Longhorn thus explains the name change. Things like chrome accents, chrome bumpers, premium LED headlamps with Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), tow hooks, wheel flares, and side steps are just a few things that the two premium models share.
So what does that change for the 2021 model year?
- New Tailgate Badge
- New Door Badges (Both Sides)
- Front/Rear Seat Badges (Sewn In Patch)

- Glove Box “Branded” Logo
- Cluster Splash Screen

The new Limited Longhorn will follow the same exact formula as the former Laramie Longhorn, by making a name for itself as the “no-compromise” luxury pickup. Using premium materials, the Laramie Longhorn has carried iconic features and design cues from traditionally handcrafted, time-tested wares such as the antique pocket watch, hand-tooled leather cowboy boots, or a horseman’s saddle. The 2021 Ram 2500/3500 Limited Longhorn uses wood, metal, and leather elements, all of which are authentic adding to the luxury “western” theme of the truck.
