Ram 2500 Awarded Popular Science “Best of What’s New” Award:
Updated Heavy Duty Models Continue To Lead The Way...
Every year, the editors over at Popular Science review thousands upon thousands of products searching for the top-100 tech innovations of the year. Popular Science looks for breakthrough products and technologies that represent a significant leap in their categories. The results of the “Best of What’s New” are included in the December issue of the Popular Science magazine and in this year’s issue, the publication has named the Ram 2500 as its “Best of What’s New” in the Auto category.
“The Ram 2500 Heavy Duty is among the Best of What’s New because its unique blend of tech makes it tough yet sophisticated,” said Joe Brown, Editor-in-Chief of Popular Science. “That’s a tough balance to strike, especially in a field crowded with so much innovation.”
Coming off a hot and heavy refresh, the heavily updated 2020 Ram 2500 pickup easily gets confused as a completely new truck, thanks to how much the refreshed model advances the segment over the truck it replaces. Although it still uses the fourth-generation Ram 2500 architecture, the truck has been re-engineered and now sets benchmarks in comfort, luxury materials, innovation, and technology extending well past any competitive offerings.
Heavy Duty customers can now have the luxuries found in the fifth-generation Ram 1500, with things like the awesome 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen and have a class-leading interior to give owners the most luxurious Heavy Duty truck on the market. Ram Heavy Duty trucks have a towing capacity of 35,100 pounds and a payload capacity of 7,680 pounds for the 2020 model year, and Ram continues to offer more choices to customize their Heavy Duty trucks than ever before.
