What made you pick THAT model when you ordered your truck?

I own a loaded 18 2500 CTD Laramie. Great truck that I like very much. So Laramie was in the running as I worked up an order for a new truck. Took me a while to pull the trigger. LOTS of time spent building trucks on ram.com! But I finally decided on a 2500 Limited Longhorn (LL). Surprised me that I ended up there, as I'm not a big fan of the purse flaps on the back seats. The biggest reason I went with the LL over a Limited was that I could get the 18" tires. The Limited only offers 20's, which a lot of owners say give a harsher ride. I also like the 2 tone leather of the LL more than the monotone in my Laramie or a Limited. But the tires were the big thing for me.

The reason I went with the LL over the Laramie is I like the all leather seats of the LL and Limited.

Just got me to wondering what the "big reason" was for others when they went with one model over another when ordering out a new truck.

Leather vs Cloth was the main reason we went to Laramie instead of Bighorn. Center rear seat was the main reason for choosing Mega vs Crew. And like jebruns, stayed away from certain packages and options that changed from the 18" to the 20" wheel.

I had been eyeballing the new TRX and waiting for it to go into production. Wife told me one day I needed a new truck and the TRX was finally out.

I swore off all GM products after they screwed me over on my Pontiac G8 when it had motor issues and they wouldn't help. So didn't even look at them.

Had a '01 F250 Laramie 4x4 that I was daily driving.

Went t look at a few TRX's and decided I didn't want to pay that much for a non loaded truck, but 707 HP.
Buddy mentioned the Power Wagon, so I started looking at it and was also looking at the F250 Tremor. Did my research and watched a bunch of youtube videos and decided that the PW would fit my needs the best. Splurged some and got the 75th anniversary edition for a lot less than the base TRX. Got 13K miles on the truck in 9 months and really am liking it. Only aftermarket parts I installed were 35x12.50r17 BFG KO2's and a set of AMP power steps to make it easier for the wife to get in the truck. Truck rides better than I thought it would.

Have had a 2002 F350 Super cab short box. The 2 things I always said I’d change was my next truck would be a long bed and a dually for our livestock trailer. 12 years down the road, we’ve had a lemon Expedition so I decided to go RAM. I don’t haul as much livestock as I used to but went dually anyways (may regret it). Also went Regular cab for shorter wheelbase which made me go Big Horn or Tradesman. I went Big Horn but would have gone Laramie or maybe even Longhorn if they offered in Reg cab. I’m getting soft as I get older and more willing to get some bells and whistles.

I was torn between the Limited and the Longhorn. I want a lighter color interior but I have dogs. The Limited only had black (dark blue?) and white. The dark was too hot and the light color was not good with dogs. So I chose the Light Mountain brown in the Longhorn. I also liked the unique grill on the Longhorn.

Tradesman realistically checked all the boxes for me, but wife loved the full center console over the fold down console. Coming from an 08 with a g56 no one rode in the middle any way so Bighorn it was. The added features have been nice though. Adjustable pedals as my wife is a lot shorter than I and I despise having my seat moved in my vehicle (pet peeve). Wish I would have been able to get leather, kids are rough on cloth, but I’ll eventually do Kat skins. Overall I’m happy with my build

I went with my tradesman because it was the only one on the lot and i needed a new truck now as both my other trucks were waiting for parts i also got a massive deal getting the 19 instead of the 2020 funny enough my tradesman has a lot more options than the bighorns i was looking at

Tradesman for me. I was able to get all the option and still keep the price within reason. Did not want or need leather. The only things I didn't get that would have been nice was the heated wheel and seats. Everything else was available. Tow package ,safety package, Level 2, chrome package, goosball, it is loaded up and meets my needs.

I had a loaded out f150 a few years back. Great truck with all the bells. After 5.5 years I sold it with 28,000 miles on. Having a work issued trucks my vehicles just don’t get many miles.

So I went with a Tradesman that fit the bill. I liked the 4x4 shifter in the floor and basic common features. Now I do miss my full center console. I might step up to the Big Horn if I was to do it again.

Was going to order a limited but absolutely did not want the 12" screen....no night edition on the longhorn so a loaded Laramie it was.....
I have a loaded Laramie now, leval b with the 8.4 .[love the truck]. I'm trading it in on a limited. I hope I can navigate that 12 in screen.. only reason I'm trading is there giving me more than I paid for it and the reason I'm upgrading is just that I'm getting an upgraded year newer truck with very little out of my pocket.

I got tired of waiting for my order and a Power Wagon popped up on the dealers lot. Drove it and I was hooked

Picked up my 3500 Limited yesterday. Was going to go Laramie but when I ordered I couldnt get night edition, power folding mirrors, or blind spot, and a few other things, all of which I wanted. At that point It was LL, Bighorn, or Limited for me. I personally dont like chrome so LL was out, and the Bighorn with all the boxes I wanted checked was getting closer to Limited money then I would have thought. I liked everything that came standard with the Limited so I went that route and after 100 miles (lol) I love it.

I was considering an F250 Tremor as well but the Ram interior is just much better IMO and cummins + AISIN is a superior powertrain IMO than the Powerstroke w/ the new 10 speed. Especially for towing.

I had an '18 3500 srw Laramie, it worked for me untill the wife fell in love with a massive toy hauler, which was over the tow ratings of the truck, so I needed a dually, with the used truck prices how they are it wasn't a huge cost to upgrade so I ordered a limited night dually. I love tech and hate chrome so the limited checked all of the boxes.

I went with a Tradesman for one big reason, sounds dumb, but a rubber floor instead of carpet. Nothing worse to me than dragging my muddy camping boots in and out of the truck and then fight like hell to get it out of the carpet when I get home.
We picked a Tradesman for the same reason, and the vinyl seats. The dog and I are both a mess! My last truck had cloth seats and carpet - ugh! Never could keep them clean or vacuum out all the dog hair. Had to keep a clean towel to lay over the seat if anyone rode with me....

Was going to order a limited but absolutely did not want the 12" screen..
This is also why I didnt go Limited. I also dislike the voice features too. Real buttons are easy to use without looking and with gloves on.

Went mega because that weird ass cutout in the back seat on all the other trims.

Ordered a mega cab 2500 bighorn because i had a '17 bighorn loaded with all options available and really liked it. The cloth grew on me and has been very durable in the past truck and i expect the same for this one. I upgraded all the lights to the LED's for better output than the halogens that come with the stock with BH's. But i also wanted all the interior tech (12" screen, cameras and alpine stereo), not the driving assist tech (i hate it, i want to drive my truck, not the computer). And lastly the grille on the 22 BH's i think looks excellent, i like the honeycomb pattern better than the horizontal slats. All personal choice.
