Need pics of them lit upSwapped out the red lens tail lights for some smoked morimoto tail lights. The reverse lights on these are much brighter than the old incandescent I had, plus now they match the stock 3rd brake light.

Need pics of them lit up
Trucks in the shop, when I get it back I’ll snap a picture. This picture is from the morimoto website, right in the middle where the reverse lights are it’s clear and there is a strip that lights up red with the brakes applied.Agreed. I was following a Silvo-Rad-o tonight that had smoked LEDs in the rear and it was actually hard to see his brake lights in stop and go traffic. It was day light which didn’t help but still wasn’t good IMO, especially with how little folks pay attention these days.

No thanks. I'm happy down here in the South East corner of Arizona. Was not exactly today but for the last 4 days the ol girl has faithfully worked to uncover people from this large snow fall. We got 28” of accumulation then it turned to freezing rain. The drift at my back door was 6’10” tall!

I’ve always pulled down guillotine clamps just about to the point of distortion to get pipes to hold from rotating. I’m surprised of such a low tq value.Well this is frustrating. The tailpipe rotated down again and is hitting the heat shield again.
I did a little more than the 32-35lbft on the clamps the second time and marked the slip joint with high temp marker. I don’t have a setup to weld stainless but it’s looking like I’m going to need to weld this bolt in kit.
I’m gonna try just overtightening the clamps and disregard the instructions
Edit: I ugga-duggad the clamps. Wish me luck. Maybe the instructions are optimistic that 32-35lb is enough to hold
Looks cool. After many months of deliberation and help from folks such as @Riz! And others I pulled the trigger on a borla type s
Summit is less than an hour away so I picked it up this morning. Install by myself (5’10” 145lb yes I’m a small man) in the driveway took an hour and 45 mins
Hardest part of install was pulling out the factory tailpipe. I was able to just slightly flex the suspension ~2” to gain enough clearance to come out without much headache or removing a tire. (2nd pic, with jack)
Ratchet strap served as a helping hand with install. Exhaust hanger clamp pliers were very handy to have.
New system is lighter and prettier. Sounds great. I have been worried that it would be too loud for my taste but it’s not obnoxiously loud. I’ve only driven around my little town, so no towing or highway driving yet.
After the first drive, the tailpipe has rotated and the tailpipe is hitting the heat shield. I tightened all the clamp hardware to 35lb as instructed. I hope this isn’t an ongoing issue. If it keeps happening then I’ll weld it.

I’ll do that, sir.Looks cool.
Hopefully you get the pipes to stop rotating. I think any mig wire will work to weld it and you likely only need a spot weld.
When you get to the point where you’re towing your enclosed trailer loaded post a video from inside the cab while going up a steep grade. Also, one from inside at say 1600-2000 rpm while the MDS is engaged.
They’re WAY tighter than 35 now and I don’t think it’s going anywhere. Tomorrow im off work and need to go up the highway in my truck. so I’ll report back.I’ve always pulled down guillotine clamps just about to the point of distortion to get pipes to hold from rotating. I’m surprised of such a low tq value.
Yes, been weighing it for a while. Some may remember I was very skeptical of the “no drone” claims and I may be eating my words and have some people to apologize to. So far, I haven’t heard any undesirable frequencies from it.Congrats man, I know you'd been considering it for a while. I will say it's either quieted down as it's bedded in, or i don't notice it as much, but I'm happy with mine. I still go easy on the gas around my neighborhood, but I find it to be nearly the same volume as stock on the highway until i mash it.
