What did you do TO your RAM today?

Were you able to update the DTE/range? If so, how was that process?
I have not tried that yet. It appears that some have been able to adjust it to me more accurate with AlphaOBD, but not able to have it with perfectly. For now, I'm monitoring the mileage, but may pickup the cable and AlphaOBD to reprogram it.

I tackled the bumper from hell again today. The goal was to remove the bumper, spray a coat of matte black over it to hide the various chips from shipping, then install the new winch, remount the bumper, adjust it properly, and then fabricate a mesh guard for the intercooler radiator..

I worked on it for 6 hours and finally called it quits during the adjustment phase. I swear that bumper was designed by the Chinese to be as difficult as possible to work with. It seems like most of the nuts and bolts are positioned in such a way as to make reaching them with normal male hands is very difficult and you are likely to injure yourself.

I bought a winch that I saw some good reviews on; the Openroad Panther Series 3S 13,500lb winch. I was going to go with the Badlands Apex, but this had some cool features and was a bit more modular.

The first challenge was that the bumper did not have enough room for a normal winch...

I nearly stopped right there and scrapped the whole dang bumper and ordered a new one. But, I decided to try and move the relay box somewhere else. Because of the limited length of the cables, I had very few options. I did find a mounting spot that worked, and the relay is actually tucked up under the bumper more than the photo suggests, and my expanded metal guard will also be covering it...

I got everything mounted and was in the middle of trying to adjust the bumper when my socket slipped and gashed my right thumb on some metal. I was beat and just decided to finish it up tomorrow.

Finally got it done. Well, waiting on my AuxBeam gang switch panel to arrive so can get the lights installed and wired.

But, the winch is installed, the bumper is properly adjusted, the guard is fabricated, painted, and installed, and it doesn't look all that bad for a $480 bumper...

Nothing dramatic. But a couple of days ago I cleaned out the mud in the cowl drains to avoid flooding the passenger side interior. Again. So today, I pulled up the carpet to check for water. Soaked. Managed to mop up some with towels and have a fan running to dry the rest. Could have been worse.

That sucks. Hey can you show the drain location thx.

Installed the Worksport AL3 Hard Tri-fold Tonneau on my new '24 2500 Bighorn. Took about 30 minutes to install and looks and works great.

Okay

How does one see where location of the picture you posted of the plugged drain.
I could not see it. I knew it was there by feel. Then stuck my phone down in and took the photo. Once I poked my finger through one of the three holes, the standing water drained out within seconds. I was planning to put an endoscope in there but the phone did the trick. Once I saw the photo I knew what was going on. This photo shows the drains completely plugged except for the one I poked my finger through. You need to remove some sealing tape on the passenger side and put your hand in towards the fender. For most folks I would think it would be debris from trees causing the problem. For me it will be a maintenance item going forward. You need a little puller to get the wiper arms off although wiggling them back and forth might work. There is a large nut under the plastic button. Don't forget to replace the sealing tape. Heavy duct tape will probably work. I used some wide Eternabond.

Thanks

It's on sale right now, and I got a 10% military discount.

Keeping on topic, I installed the Mopar tailgate strut today and soldered the tailgate release button onto both of my remotes. Don't know how much I will use it, but it's cool to have the auto tailgate release!

I have been looking at those covers myself. They claim they are finally going to start shipping the version that has integrated solar panels in it later this fall, so that is what I am waiting for. If you had it to do again, would you buy it a second time? I became absolutely fed up with BakFlip covers and their inferior, terrible hardware and I swore to myself I would never spend another dime with them.

Went to the local dealer for a new air filter and was shocked at the price they charged me

I think that is a darn good price, since the last filter from a different dealer cost around $80 at this time last year.20250711_101448.jpg

Just paid $59.10 CA + taxes at a dealership in Toronto area and that was the cheapest out of 5 dealers.
