What did you do TO your RAM today?

I switched to Doc's Diesel filters awhile back as they are made to the factory standards, just got one this week for $30.59 off Amazon
Doc's Diesel Engine Air Filter
Just checked Amazon.ca so the Canadian Amazon and the Doc's filter cost $49.09.
Their air filters seem to have a good rating where as the fuel filters not so much.
EDIT: Was reading more Amazon reviews and people were claiming they received some Doc's with glue strips, if this is the case I guess I'll stick with the OEM.

Well I didn’t do it, I’m at work all weekend, but my son found a reason for me to completely take apart the interior of my truck when I get home Monday…. He had to move my truck to get one of the tractors out and was hit with a wall of stench as soon as he opened the door….IMG_5134.jpeg
Guessing there has to be a nest somewhere….

Went to the local dealer for a new air filter and was shocked at the price they charged me

I think that is a darn good price, since the last filter from a different dealer cost around $80 at this time last year.View attachment 87644
Don’t you guys order from Geno’s? If you don’t, why not? I wouldn’t buy anything from Doc’s, personally.IMG_1461.png

You should do a little more research on Doc’s. Their own published documents show that they are not filtering to factory standards.

They are not a trusted or recommended filter source.

When my father passed away a couple of years ago, I inherited a very nice late model Toyota Rav4 that was his daily driver. I also got his former daily driver, a 2007 Chevy HHR. Both were parked outside at his rural home and both were used to transport hunting dogs, so lots of dog food spilled inside and a ton of mice moved in. I ended up stripping both vehicles to the bare metal inside, scrubbing with special cleaners, and disinfecting everything. The HHR had just sat too long in the sun and I ended up giving it away.

The Rav4 was taken to a professional detailer who said the only way to 100% get rid of the smell was to completely replace every piece of plastic and cloth in that vehicle. He did a total detail, scrubbing, ionizing treatment, and it smelled great long enough to sell it.

Before...

Once mouse urine gets into the plastic pieces, it is game over. The smell never comes out.

Little bastards. Had one chew 2 injector harnesses on my Scat Pack Charger a few years ago. $1100 later and it was fixed. USAA covered the bill.

Actually I'm glad this was pointed out as I bought it from the wrong place  I meant to buy it from Geno's but seemed to have got confused somehow, oldtimers I guess. Probably because I replaced it last with one from Geno's in Nov. 23' and have only put 9K on the truck since then smh. Anyway the Doc's is going back where it should be.

Be careful those have glued pleates. I used them for a while and ended up with a low boost code. Went to the dealership they looked and found that the filter was clogged up after only like 6k miles and was blocking the air. Replaced filter with factory one at almost 13k no problems.

I forgot that i got a big scratch on the roof of my truck from the garage door opener arm a while back. I ordered some cheap touch up paint from Amazon and when my little helper saw it was “like nail polish” she wanted to do it. It’s on the roof so I let her have at it. The gouge is still there but it’s black now. Maybe it’ll help seal the paint.

She is turning into a very good co-pilot. Checks tire pressures and now touch up work. Gotta love it.!
