What did you do TO your RAM today?

Won some KC Apollo Pro 6” on an auction site for $20. Took me 4 weeks to muster up to courage in the heat to install them and took about 15 minutes to install them lol

Replaced rear axle fluid with Amsoil Severe Gear 75W140. Missed the damn hole in the Banks cover with the first bag. Bad hand from surgery wasn’t working right. Now I gotta figure out how to clean the lube from the fins. LOL. Now the transmission and engine oil and filter. Then she is all ready for the pull down south in the fall.

The driveway is on a slightly downward slope, so that helps to level the truck out, and makes it easier to get underneath for draining the filters. I also swap my steering tires and wheels side to side at the time of service.
Swapped Steering tires? Do you have different tires front and rear? They look the same. Usually people rotate the tires is why I’m asking

Can only rotate the steering tires side to side. (left front to right front, right front to left front) Can’t do a true rotation on these unless you want to break down all six tires, mount and rebalance. I do a full rotation once or twice per set of tires.

Why is that? Do the rear tires have to be balanced as a pair or something?

The rear wheels can’t be interchanged with the fronts, at least not on the polished aluminum wheels. The rear outer wheels and the front wheels are only finished / polished on one side, so you can’t flip them around. To do a true rotation, all six wheel & tire combos need to be broken down, tires dismounted, remounted, rebalanced on new wheel positions, and then reinstalled. I’ve been told that the TPMS sensors will also not work front to back on these trucks, but I’ve never tried it due to the lack of being physically able to swap the wheels around.

That is what I do. And I change the oil filter while the right front is off at the same time since it is easier with no tire in the way. Did the same on my last dually and tires wore fine.
