What did you do TO your RAM today?

On my backflip, i can see the hitch head in the cargo cam and able to align perfect but if I turn my head to look out back glass for proper heighth, i can't see over folded up bakflip. I'm actually contemplated taking an old phone and turning it into a camera/ monitor and strapping it in my bed so i can see pin box level from my active phone in cab
Good to know! The Bakflip is a tri-fold, right? If the height isn't right, I have to get out anyway to adjust it from the keypad in my trailer.

Yup it's a tri fold panel type. I've even tried opening up my sunroof and looking out over the roof but u can't see over it. It's definitely an uncomfortable feeling. Ill be glad when i get a fiver with the auto memory level for hook up. My wife sais just watch me, but as an old truck driver i can't stand somebody guiding me and not feeling in controle. So before SOMEBODY gets upset that were being off topic and we get reprimanded. What did I do to my ram today? Not a dang thing except think about a cheap/free fabrication about mcgeiver ing a camera in my bed

Ghetto, but what if you slapped one of those convex mirrors on the fiver angled somewhat down towards the hitch, could you see it through the camera then, or is the camera completely blocked?

Obligatory on-topic post: Today I cleaned off the mud that I got on my truck from a dirt road before I got the mud flaps installed. And complained to myself again, about the incompetence (or lack of caring) of the dealership where I got the mud flaps installed: they didn't even bother to wipe the wheel wells; they just installed the flaps over the dirt... I guess that it was my bad for not having cleaned the wheel wells before bringing the truck in, but I was excited about getting the mud flaps (and was hoping to get the missing jack and floor mats at the same time).

I’m guessing you got the Mopar ones and if so how are they? I just ordered some for my truck today.

They seem nice and sturdy. Time will tell, of course. Hopefully they'll keep the mud off the truck when I drive on some dirt roads. We live in the city, and the place where we stable our horses is also in the city, but there are two dirt roads to get to it... And, of course, the only way to keep the dust down is to water the road. I never expected to see dirt roads in a big city. (Riverside, CA, BTW)

That's an idea, but surely people don't travel with that mirror on, do they. Or do you have to put it on and off during hook up. I wished I hadn't bought a single cam furrion years ago and got the 2 cam system. 1 for trailer and one for bed, but who new back then.
On to what did I just do to truck within last hr.
1: got a hold of ram customer care to help with uconnect send and go through Google maps then sharing the rt. I reset things how they said and it worked once and then not again. All other ways you can easily send just a location but i like yi send a specific route.
2: finally got around to checking my software like you all spoke about, does this look right.

I was thinking about cheating out because
1: I'm cheap
2: I'm holding out on a retractable step voucher deal from ram
Wishful thinking I know. Also it kills me too drill new holes into a 85k truck.

The dichotomy is killing me...

Ceramic tint front windows at 28% (the lowest florida allows. And added a set of running boards mostly for the protection valueView attachment 5900View attachment 5901
Looks great! Doing mine next Saturday, how’s the 28% as far as visibility? I had 20% sides and 70% windshield on my previous truck but not used for towing and afraid of visibility going 20% again as this will be used for towing a 40’ 5th wheel.

I wish it were darker during the day as its so bright and hotter than hades right now here in ST Pete. But at night I feel it is perfect. No real lost visibility. I havent done the windshields on any of my trucks. Other trucks I've had that were darker than 20 I always felt blind at night especially while backing

Maybe I’ll go 28% on the sides then and 50 or 30% on the windshield as the heats also awful here in SC.

Followed Brutal’s lead and got a new spout for DEF. Much better!A2DB9646-8C05-4D08-9A58-270F253FB6FC.jpeg78A1D026-C994-4886-85ED-35B0E6425B25.jpeg

Picked up 5 gal of Valvoline DEF and a few jugs of Power Source Additive. Also ordered the locking DEF & Diesel caps from Geno’s. Unfortunately Diesel cap back ordered till 8/21.

Looked at it as I walked past it on my way to the shed. Imagined the good times we will have when all the project parts start coming in this week.75k service to include transmission pan drain plug with the fluid and filter swap. Change fluid in transfer case and differentials. Install loop back cable with audio processor and amplifier. Install new speakers and sub. Almost forgot, change oil, fuel filters and CCV filter. Shed has it’s own beer cooler if anyone wants to learn and get dirty as I am an excellent supervisor of things I’ve done for the past 30 years.
