VICE Hidden Winch Mount | 6.7 Cummins

Finished my install of the Randy Ellis Design light bar and wanted to report it is compatible with the Vice Design hidden winch mount on my 24' Ram Rebel cummins.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear that its still compatible with our system. Would love to see some pictures!

I will look into it for you you in more depth, but upon a quick look it appears to be the same winch with "bolt new graphics". Still uses the 5 bolt endcap which means it can only be clocked in 72 degree increments. For comparison the EVO uses an 8 bolt spacing so you can clock it every 45 degrees which is required to point the clutch handle in the correct direction. The other issue is that with the winch feet facing forward, the electrical contacts point towards the intercooler where we're limited on space. No Wireless controller too, while the less expensive EVO comes with a wireless controller. Zeon does come with a better quality synthetic line, so if it were me, I'd get the EVO, and buy some high quality Warn Spydura winch line and swap it out if you damage or break the average rope the evo comes with.

I really love the hidden winch but I think ive decided for my intended usage I would feel more comfortable with the Warn 16.5Ti winch. Im up running around in Alaska with a dually and a trailer. Just throwing this out there because you talked about the clutch handle, The Ford Warn Winch has the clutch coming out the front. Have you looked into working with warn or retrofitting the ford hidden winch kit with the front clutch and built in remote port to fit within your bracket.

I would also totally be ok with having a black 25 inch powder coated surface protruding through the bumper 3-4 inches, all the way down to the bottom of the bumper and tie into the intercooler skid plate. Essentially the winch bracket would be almost flush with the painted portions of the bumper. I think you could cut from parking sensor to parking sensor and below maybe just include 2-4 screws for attaching from front plates or even do that hidden winch license plate flip things you see on jeeps, you could alternatively provide parking sensor relocate to the front of the winch plate.

Our skidplate system (not shown) funnels air from under the bumper back up into the intercooler. Intercooler is also completely sealed to the fan system so theoretically will pull the same volume of air. If we can get similiar experimental running conditions day to day (temp, humidity, etc) we could try and get #s. It can be said that the ecu will automatically adjust fueling based on those conditions so it remains running optimal.

I have a badlands Apex that's basically new on my Chassis Unlimited bumper on my 2019. I just got a 2025 and not sure I want to reuse the bumper, but still want a winch. Has anyone tried installing this with the apex?
