I tried all of the "fixes" power reset, factory reset, RAM cares, dealer evaluation with reset and/or tinkering (3X) with shark fin being replaced on the first time into the dealer, checking for correct system information and registration and especially cussing at the damn thing, nothing was very permanent, or at least lasted more than two days. Looked for fixes with the uConnect system on the Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge forum since I found the uConnect error prevalent with all these different vehicles. Looked for "fixes" on older systems because the error message was on many of all these vehicles, years, and various uConnect systems. Even found that one Government web site mentioned this issue not being resolved by any of these manufacturers, and the fact that they have started to monitor this problem for a possible class action lawsuit that might occur, but they did not mention who is the manufacturer of the actual system software.
NOTHING BUT NOTHING
Then, went on a 3 1/2 hour trip, all with strong cell and satellite signal, turned the truck back on the next day and no error popped up!!!! Felt I should have bought a lottery ticket, but after several on-off cycles and 5 days the error message has not come back!!!!
I will keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best, because it is obvious that who ever actually programed the uConnect system is inept at changing the software to accommodate what ever it is trying to update, register or connect in a manner that doesn't create such a common problem.
Love the truck, but the uConnect system is going to bring the whole mess down if these manufacturers don't start getting better programmers that can make this problem to not be so prevalent for what ever reason!
