Mine starts to tick when you plug a trailer in and then stops ticking whenever I unplug it. Not sure what the actual purpose of it is.

It would be neat if it assigned different miles to different trailers. Mine logs our camper just the same as a 200# tow behind post hole digger.

Does it have electric brakes or surge brakes? More boats have serge brakes and uses the reverse pin of the 7 pin or 5 pin ti lock out the master cylinder for reverse.
Without electric brakes the truck does not know a trailer is connected and wont log miles

What year did the multiple trailers become a thing? My 18 had 4 to choose from.
