I got my TIM yesterday, but now I'm waiting for the jumper harness.
I think since we got this figured out, maybe an admin or moderator can create a sticky that has all the directions and part numbers in the first post, cause this thread now has a ton of posts to sift through to find the necessary information to do this mod.

Yea, and it feels completely hollow, it's super light... It looks like it's very easy to open up, I'm half tempted to pop it open to see if it's just a couple wires jumping the pins lol.

Anybody successfully ordered the jumper? Tried several places and they're all saying it's back ordered.
Any chance somebody could hack the canbus wirelessly through the TTPMS signal w/o this gateway? I suppose anything is possible...
I'll bet my Trumpbux that is flash memory/processor that stores all the trailer-TPM sensor settings data.
The big chip (R7F010023) looks like a Renesas chip with an ARM processor and some analog to digital and digital to analog converters in it.
It's "expensive" ($15ish just for that one part), so they wouldn't use it unless they needed to. It's about as powerful as, say, a desktop PC from the 80s. It could be doing a lot of the work actually communicating with the sensors.

I'll look it up, but that is probably also a supercap there to keep the flash alive.

that's an impressive amount of vias on that board stitching the ground planes together.
I just got a reply to my request for a status from g00fy's guy. Cable backordered, ETA end of of month.
I went through an order at another e-tailer and they're showing delivery 5-5 to 5-7 so yea, same situ.
Frankly, I believe most of these online parts suppliers are all just storefronts and pull from the same centralized (regional) fulfillment centers which is a common practice.
Unless you get something off ebay, direct from a dealer, it's all logistics fulfillment like Amazon.
